Oh my goodness!! I run a game shop! People playing pokemon, Magic the Gathering, RPG's pays the bills! I'm 47 and I still watch cartoons with my 11 year old!0
-
Seriously?0

15 seems old for Pokemon cards.... but then it's all relative. He could be out drinking, smoking, taking shrooms, touching up everything that moves, stealing your car. I think you should be okay with it.0

I am 30 and am currently watching The Pound Puppies and my 8 year old niece is no where around... soo.... no its not wrong. Also I know people in their 20's that play Pokemon..0
-
I watch Spongebob and Doc McStuffins at my grown age so he is fine lol!!!!0

Only if they are neglecting things that they have to do like school work...showers...
Otherwise who cares if they like cartoons and Pokemon cards...there are plenty of things they could be getting into that you would WISH they were watching cartoons again...
Ditto!!0 -

The real question for all of us to consider
is whether cartoons and playing with
Pokemon cards is of the devil. It is. Just like
Dungeons and Dragons.0 -
As opposed to ... what?
My son was into YuGiOh when he was 10 and started going to tournaments on Friday evenings. He was one of the YOUNGEST "kids" there and I put "kids" in quotes because the age range of players was anywhere from 9, to teenagers, to guys in their 20's, to fathers in their 40's playing with their sons.
My son is now 11 and has switched his interests to football, but I'd still be taking him to tournaments if he wanted to go until he could drive himself there!
Let your son do what he enjoys so long as it doesn't interfere with school, etc.0 -
Why would it be wrong?0
-
Trust me guys i agree with each and everyone of you .My fiancée seems to think its babying him and he needs to do activites that are maturing him instead of babying him.I said the same thing he could be doing worst drugs. sex thank god he's not into that so far that i know of and my fiancée feels he needs to let that go and maybe collect baseball cards instead. My fiancée is from the old school era so the things kids do today are not to his liking.0
-
Well the alternative could be watching porn ... your choice!0
-
No. Like a few other posters said, its okay as long it doesn't interfere with other necessary work like school, chores, etc. but then if that happens its not the cartoons and cards that are the problem but a lack of attention to the work.0
-
As others have said before "there are worse things". My soon to be 14 year old still sleeps with stuffed animals, and that's all right. It's great that your son still has an interest in kids stuff, it seems most kids are trying to grow up too fast.0

My fiance is 25 and plays pokemon video games. So having a kid does it doesnt bother me lol0
