    Trust me guys i agree with each and everyone of you .My fiancée seems to think its babying him and he needs to do activites that are maturing him instead of babying him.I said the same thing he could be doing worst drugs. sex thank god he's not into that so far that i know of and my fiancée feels he needs to let that go and maybe collect baseball cards instead. My fiancée is from the old school era so the things kids do today are not to his liking.

    No. Like a few other posters said, its okay as long it doesn't interfere with other necessary work like school, chores, etc. but then if that happens its not the cartoons and cards that are the problem but a lack of attention to the work.

    As others have said before "there are worse things". My soon to be 14 year old still sleeps with stuffed animals, and that's all right. It's great that your son still has an interest in kids stuff, it seems most kids are trying to grow up too fast.

    My fiance is 25 and plays pokemon video games. So having a kid does it doesnt bother me lol

    Don't think so! When my kids watch TV is ask them to put Phineas and Ferb cartoons cause I like to watch that.

    I think letting your fiancee try to dictate his hobbies is a recipe for disaster. Just let him be interested in what he's interested in.

    It's standard for kids this day and age. I'm in my early 20's, and I have guy friends who still watch cartoons and although they don't play Pokemon anymore, they play Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons and whatnot, on top of MMORPGs.

    Plus, some cartoons are more mature than you realize. Anime in general, or even Adventure Time, which seems to be my guy friends' favorite cartoon on Cartoon Network.

    I'd agree with that. Rush are pants. Better to listen to Yes or Pink Floyd or early Genesis.
