My thought is it's an unhealthy waste of time and my concern is it's a gimmick rather than a real life plan.0

I do the Master Cleanse once per year. You can't think of it as a weight loss tool. It is not a gimmick because what it essentially does is give your diegestive system a rest and help to clean out any unwated waste from your system. The human digestive system can actully hold up to 20lbs of unprocessed waste (yeah...ew). So if you experience weight loss, it is just a result of taking care of your body from the inside.
If you think about it, you will gain weight back after you start eating food because your digestive system produces fluids and gas as it works, so again... do NOT think of it as a weight loss tool...it is all for your tummy!!
I have gastric problems, so my doc actually gave me the ok to do this once per year. It is the best thing anyone with digestive problems can do for themselves!
If you want to know more about the process and all that jazz feel free to message me.0 -

Your butt doesn't come with a cork. It doesn't get backed up. (Not in any way that would require a near starvation diet for weeks on end, at least.)0 -

Thank you all! I've been hearing a lot of people talk about it, but I've talked to anyone who has actually tried it! Thanks for all the insight and info!0

I have done the Master Cleanse several times up to 14 days. This is an awesome way to detox; the salt water flush is something to be desired, but well worth it. On this cleanse you will have so much energy and mental clarity. You will lose about 20lbs in 10 days. But you have to renew your mind to the process of a healthy lifestyle. Break the fast as recommended a lot of people end up eating raw after this cleanse. Although I didn’t keep the weight off when I did these cleanses. However, I am planning to do it again, now that I have changed my lifestyle. You should cleanse 4 times a year anyway once every season. You can Google the Master Cleanse PDF, this use to be my bible study it for a couple weeks before you cleanse. Also there is a Master cleanse forum that offers great support while you’re cleansing. I love it!!!0

BUT SOME PEOPLE USE A BUTT PLUG! :grumble:0 -
Oh yes, been there, done that. Near the end of 10 days, I felt like my teeth were dissolving. I don't know if they actually were, but it wasn't a pleasant sensation. I also had some heart irregularities. From what I've come to understand, it's really not very good for you, all things considered.
Schedule a colonoscopy. They'll give you the stuff that will really strip out the gunk.0 -
WASTE OF TIME. You have have organs that do this daily.0

I did the Master Cleanse, and it gave me constant runs and uncontrollable anal leakage. I know it sounds crazy, but I resorted to using feminine hygiene products (inside and out) to stop it! I would not recommend doing this cleanse!0

this is actually valuable, but often overlooked storage space that most homeowners should utilize. rather that haul those strings of Christmas lights back up to the attic until next year, just store them in your colon until next Christmas. i'm told you can fit about 20 lbs worth in there and when it's time to put the lights up again next year, you won't have to climb up to the attic to get them.
win-win.
