Unfortunately my original thread was locked because of mischief.
It was based on the following story.
Subway Customers Claim False Advertising for 11-Inch Foot-Long Subs
http://www.delish.com/food/recalls-reviews/subway-sells-11-inch-foot-long-subs Report
Just saw on MSN that there is now a lawsuit over it

Yes. I personally like to feel full...for hours afterwards...0
-
They should sue Subway for false advertising... Their sandwiches hardly qualify for food.0
-
because I don't like to be hungry, you know ...0

It's not the size that matters...it's the motion of the ocean. But it takes a long time to get to England in a rowboat...0
-
I've never even thought about measuring my sub...Dammit!0
-
Do you really notice that one inch when you're still getting 11inches.0
-
thats such bull****0
-
If they say a foot, it should be a foot but honestly is it worth making a lawsuit over an inch of food that really isn't going to fulfill you that much more? SMH0
-
Does it really matter that there is 1 inch missing from SOME of the bread that is baked - don't ppl go there for the things in the bread, not the bread itself?
Only stupid greedy people would sue a company over a baking variance.0 -

It's gonna be fun to watch subway claim that 'footlong' is a brand name _not_ a unit of measure. Look everyone who goes to subway gets ripped off, I'm glad someone is finally taking them to task.
BTW I also enjoyed the 'taco filling' thing with taco bell last year0 -
11 inches... hmm not bad.0

If someone can sue Subway for their sandwich being shorter than advertised and expected, does that mean I can sue my exes?0
-
I just like the fact that someone called them out on it. Lawsuit or not, it is false advertising. All they need is a little disclaimer saying approximately a foot. I just think it was another way to screw the consumer, they are saying it's the "name" of the sub and not the measurement of the sub. Either way it doesn't matter .... I don't eat that crap.0

PPL are sue happy. I use to bake a lot, everything does not come out exactly the same everytime, especially bread
This guy explain you are still getting the same amount of ingredients per sandwich
