I stay home with my four children now, but I use to work in a operating room and LOVED it!! Loved taking call, didn't mind the 10-12hr shifts, and felt my calmest in a trauma situation. I miss it. On occasion got to go outside the department and help on the OB floor with c-sections, to the emergency room, but usually to the ICU. If my hubby didn't travel for work, I would go back in a heartbeat for just a few days a week.

I have my bachelor's degree in Wildlife and Fisheries (focus was Wildlife).

I was a SAHM for a while and I do enjoy it while my babies are little.

I worked as a Geographic Information Science (GIS) Specialist/Analysis and Conservation Biologist for a few years before I decided to actually go back and get my Master's in Geography with emphasis in GIS and Remote Sensing. I am due to graduate in May. My thesis is about mapping mangrove habitats on an island off the coast of Belize using Landsat satellites.

I love working with Wildlife and I love working with GIS and Remote Sensing software. Jobs aren't always easy to get where they combine both of my passions though I am applying this week for one job that combines those two passions. But if I do not get it I will probably get a job that is either wildlife focused or GIS/Remote Sensing focused. To do the work I do you have to love it. You also need to have a if this doesn't work let me try this type of attitude. The software can often be frustrating for some people. But for me I love it because to me new software is like a puzzle. And I love figuring out puzzles.

Pretty much. I don't have to deal with as many jerks as I did when I worked in an office, though.
