Last night e^x and sin(x) went to a party. Now, sin(x) was having a bloody great time busting out his waves on the dance floor with all the other party goers until he suddenly noticed e^x sat at the bar looking glum.

So sin(x) went over to his pal and asked, 'e^x, mate, what's up?' To this e^x gave out a big sigh and replied, 'I tried really hard to integrate this time, but once again nothing happened.'

I'm an engineer so it's not exactly the same - I'm an adequately PAID math nerd.

I'm an engineer too. I'm not adequately underpaid for my work. Hence, why I *kitten* off here a lot during the day.

There's about a 40% chance that 20 different people posting in this thread have the same birthday. Prove or disprove!
    About a hundred dollars. Yeah.

ETA: I heard of that specific one while reading one of Dawkins' books. Already proven. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birthday_problem

If you're gonna present a challenge, at least post something that hasn't been already proven or disproven, like hailstone numbers. :P
