5'3 - 5'4 and 130lbs to 140lbs

Hey everyone,
I am 5'3 and a half and currently weigh 164 lbs, down from 175 lbs. I am undecided on what my GW should be but thinking somewhere between 130 and 140 lbs.
If any of you are of similar height and within this weight range I would love to see photos, success stories etc so I can get an idea of what that weight may look like on me. I understand that everyone has different shapes and carries weight differently, but it's still fun to share photos and get motivation from other MFP users!

i am also 5'3 and my starting weight was 149lbs-although everyone has different veiws on their personal goals- mine is at 115-120lbs...i used to be there all my life and after i had my daughter i weighed about 165lbs. So i know for my height is where i would like to be....hope this helps some....have a good weekend1 -
Im 5'3'' and my starting wieght is 175 but my goal wieght is 130 and hopefully in a size 7!!!! Good luck!!0

At my heaviest: 175
Currently: 168 and in a size 8-10.
Goal weight: 145 (23 lbs to go!)
I'm short and husky and I enjoy lifting weights, so I think 145 is a good goal weight for me. Muscle weighs more than fat.1 -

I'm 5'3, my goal is around 130-140lbs. I got down to 162lbs before I got pregnant with my 4th and I was a size 10 so as long as I can get down to a 7, I'm good I also have a large frame.0

Down 110lbs, GW is 140. I'm solidly built and muscular, so even though BMI says this is overweight, it will be a good weight for me. CW is 160 and these last 20lbs don't want to come off, but even though I've only lost 2lbs in 6 weeks, I've lost 14lbs of body fat0

I'm 5'3 and CW is 145. My GW is 120. I currently have a small tire around my waist when I sit down, so looking to get rid of that. I was at 120 after having all of my kids, so I know it is realistic, having a sedentary job has not been good for my health. Good luck on figuring out your GW! And congrats on your achievements so far.2

I am 5'4 138 lbs. I workout every day for the most part, I eat reasonably - in a manner that I can sustain. Some days it's 1200 calories, some days it is 2000 calories. I just try to make sure I don't deprive myself of the things I want, but at the same time, I don't go overboard. By knowing I can have a slice of pizza or a night out with the girls for Mexican food, I have found that I am actually less inclined to do it. I eat lots of fruits and veggies - lots of avocado and a lot of nuts. I try to keep a well-balanced diet proteins, carbs, and fats.
I haven't lost a ton of weight in pounds, but I am down from a size 8 to a size 4.

And my diary is open (for better ideas on healthy eating, go back a few weeks. I have had a rough go the past few. :8)0 -
I'm 5'3" and was 214.5lbs at my heaviest and am now down to 124lbs. My original goal weight was 139.5 lbs, which I never thought I'd get back down to, but I did in a year and decided to keep going. I then thought 125 lbs. was a pipe dream, but here I am one pound below that and only 2lbs. away from my high school weight.1

Im around 142 5"4...not really my goal weight but I wear a size 8 comfortably and a tight size 6...u can look at my pics on my profile0

I'm 5'2" so a bit shorter but I started out at 170 and I'm now at 135. I have a before & after pic in my profile of 170 vs. 138. Best of luck to you on your WL journey!0

I'm 5'3 and a half and have about the same goal weight as you. I don't have any pics or success stories yet though, I've only been doing this for 4 weeks. So far I've lost 7 lbs. (can't see any difference in the mirror yet).0

I'm 5'4 but carry all my weight around my middle and if I'm higher than 135 I get the odd person asking if I'm pregnant! So embarrassing! So my goal weight is 125.0

I am nearly 5'3" and my goal was the same as yours...until I got there. Now it is 115 (I am currently 123).0 -
I'm also 5'3". I started at 170 lbs around October of 2010, and started at 159 lbs on this site February of 2012. So far, I've lost 22 lbs total (my ticker only shows the 11 I've lost on this site). My goal is currently set to 140 lbs, but when I get to that weight, I plan on making a new goal of 130-135.0

My goal will probably end up in the 140-150 range. I'm going for a size 6-8ish (it feels bizarre to have that tiny of a size as a goal) with lots of fancy, schmancy muscles. I honestly have no idea what my weight will be at that point, and it doesn't really matter to me.0

I'm about 5'4" and my gw is 135 (maybe 130) . I've been smaller and didn't much care for it; mostly because I carry a lot of my weight in my bust (38DD right now at 158) so when I'm 'small' I feel like my body looks funny.0

Goal Weight: 115-120
I'm literally told all the time I'm built similiar to Jennifer Lopez (obviously bigger version now, lol!) I carry ALL my weight down below. I'm a size 8/10 up top right now, with a 14/15 jean size. When I get down to 135, which is my average that I get down to, I'll get down to a 6 up top, and a 8 on bottom. As you can see, I go down a significant amount in pants size! You really can't base your whole ideal weight loss off of sizes that's for sure! :]1 -
