Hi Runners,

~~ Last Winter Month - Who is in for a February Mileage Challenge? ~~

There is a 50 miles running mileage minimum, but we aim for 100 miles, or more - our record is a 300 miles goal!

We have a 80 runners max for efficient mileage keeping.

*** Checking-in/Joining:
To join, just state your goal mileage, and then check in periodically and let us know what you have done for the day, or if you have a race coming up (I am a race junky!). But don't forget to always report on your total running mileage so it is easier to keep track of mileage.

*** Running Mileage:
We only count *running* mileage. Some of us count mileage that is equivalent to running such as the mileage on the ARC trainer or the elliptical. Make sure the elliptical mileage is equivalent to your running mileage (you may consider using "time" on the elliptical and use that to convert to mileage).

*** Where to post:
In this (A) thread or in the (B) group check-in threads below at the appropriate end date (or both A and B).

*** When and Frequency:
We will have check-ins at least once a week on Sundays (see dates on the spreadsheet). It refreshes as the month progresses. Please post updates least once weekly on or before the Sunday check in either the A or B threads or both.

Feel free to update us more ~~ because is fun to hear from you and what you are accomplishing - your updates help us begin inspired.

    2/2/13- i got 3 miles done before my treadmill revolted and broke down. :sad: i guess i ran it to death! (hopefully it's just a drive belt... it feels like the running belt stops moving whenever i step on. argh!)

    ): sorry! hope you can get it fixed. I Had mine fixed by teh same people I purchsed it from, (for free - but I gave a nice tip).

    Ok, I'm going to give this a try...first timer. Week one 10, getting over the flu and looking tto get back into action. I'll try 50 for my first time and see how I progress from there. Did my first full marathon a few months ago, and I'm ready to start bringing up my mileage again and possibly get my long runs consistently between 10- 15 miles. So this will be a good motivator.

    Actually it gives me something else to do, it helps (: thanks for the vibes, my mother will move in with us in a few weeks. it will certainly be a new experience. but I think it will be OK. :smile:
