These "burgers" are quite tasty. My wife and I make them often, but we do not make sandwiches out of them. Instead, we serve them on a bed of lettuce.

I put mandarin orange slices around the burger, and dress them with a few tablespoons of Ken's Asian Sesame with Ginger & Soy. I will sometimes top with a few La Choy Chow Mein Noodles.

My wife prefers to use tomatoes instead of mandarins, but does use the Ken's dressing....

    GROUND TURKEY SKILLET LASAGNA

Note: best when made and then refrigerated overnight to allow flavors to blend. I actually freeze the four portions individually for later meals. A little time intensive on the veggie chopping, but worth it to me.

    4 servings

    - 1 tsp olive oil
    - approx 10 oz ground turkey (half of one 20 oz package – Jennie O 99% fat free)
    - 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
    - 2 tsp Italian seasoning, divided
    - 3 uncooked lasagna noodles, broken into pieces (Ronzoni whole wheat)
    - 1 14.5 oz can petite diced tomatoes (with juice)
    - 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
    - 1/2 cup diced carrot
    - 1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
    - 1/4 cup water
    - 1 1/2 cup pasta sauce (Prego traditional), divided
    - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (part-skim)

    Directions

    1. Heat olive oil in skillet and cook ground turkey until done. Drain grease if necessary.
    2. Add balsamic vinegar and 1 tsp Italian seasoning and stir to coat
    3. Add 3/4 cup pasta sauce and stir to coat
    4. Top with broken noodles, making one flat layer
    5. Sprinkle diced green and red pepper and diced carrots over noodles, spreading evenly
    5. Pour diced tomatoes over noodles, spreading evenly
    6. Pour water over noodles
    7. Sprinkle with other teaspoon of Italian seasoning
    7. Pour the other 3/4 cup pasta sauce over noodles, spreading evenly
    8. Bring mixture to boil
    9. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes
    10. Remove from heat, then uncover and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
    11. Cover and let stand.
    12. When skillet is cool, put in refrigerator overnight to allow flavors to blend
    13. Cut into 4 wedges. Heat in microwave and serve.

I have never put this into recipe builder

1 package ground turkey lean I buy the four packs at costco
    Cinnamon
    One large apple chopped
one cup of cooked wild rice
    Some raisins, or craisens

Mash it together, bake in loaf pan until golden brown.

Slice it, into serving sizes after you use recipe builder lol.

    Serve with a salad.

    Yummy yummy. And different.
  • I make chili often and replace the meat with ground turkey- tastes the same , and all the beans have a lot of protein and fiber and keep you full for a long time.

    Steamed Egg with Ground Turkey:

    Serves 4 VERY comfortably

8 oz 93/7 lean ground turkey
    2 eggs
    One-eighth cup Tiparos fish sauce
1 tbsp pure dark sesame oil
    1 tsp ground white pepper

    - Beat eggs with fish sauce, sesame oil and pepper in a mixing bowl.
    - Crumble in lean ground turkey. Blend everything together by hand.
    - Put egg and turkey mixture into a glass pie plate.
    - Place pie plate in a bamboo steamer and set steamer in a wok or pot filled with water that reaches the bottom edge of steamer.
    - Steam on medium heat for 20-25 minutes, or until meat/egg is no longer pink in the center.
    - Be sure to regularly check on the water level in the wok or pot. Don't let the water evaporate; add more water when necessary.

Serve with steamed vegetables and cooked quinoa/rice blend (I use a 60/40 ratio for the quinoa and rice blend).
