Sounds good! I hate to even think about the sodium though.

I've just made this - but I agree - more of a chili consistency - I always drain and wash the beans (removes some of the gassy agents that way). I may add water later - or not.

    I made this... sort of...tonight.

I only had a can of Pinto beans so I put those in. Instead of canned tomatos - I used some of my garden tomatos from last year that I had frozen (less sodium). I used 2 tsp of hidden valley ranch, 1 packet of taco seasoning and 2 T of chili powder (because it wasn't spicy enough for me). I also added a cup of salsa and some leftover rice that I had in the refrigerator.

The result is pretty good and just what I was looking for on this dreary, rainy day....

 That's exactly what I was thinking.

Don't weigh yourself for a few days after eating this, for sure (if you're sensitive to excess sodium like most folks, you'll probably be up a couple pounds due to water retention)! But it does sound yummy.

I made this for today. Verdict is still out as I haven't had it yet. Its been in the crock pot all day.

I added an extra can of beans and 2 cups of water though. I wanted it more soupy, but who knows how it is after cooking.
