I'd like to join!
I have 100+ to loose but I figured I need to keep my goals smaller so they are attainable! A little about me: I'm a new mom, my daughter was born in January 2010. i was overweight before getting pregnant at 253 and I was about 278 when I delivered. I manged to loose all of that plus 10 pounds within the first 3 weeks. I think I was retaining alot of water weight! Since giving birth I've bounced up and down in the 240s
So my starting weight is 253 officially (hey it makes me feel a little better!) and I'm currently at 243.
My husband and I are doing a "caveman diet" based off of what Dean Karnazes does for himself (he's the ultimate marathon man and my DH is a runner). We no longer eat any processed foods, anything from a box, or anything that a caveman essentially couldn't get for himself. We're eating a lot of whole foods, raw fruits and veggies, and organic meats (sometimes not depending on the price). We've cut out grains (since they have to be milled and cavemen didn't have the technology), so that means no pasta, bread, or oats.0 -

Welcome mikeholm and Fawkes. No worries mike, there really isn't any etiquette to observe. Just re-post the weight matrix each week with your update on your weekly weigh-in. Fawkes that is an interesting diet. I'll be interested to hear how it works. I expect it is quite healthy since there is lots of bad stuff in processed foods.0

The sweet and complex carb cravings have completly gone away and we've been doing this for a week. I'm not noticing an change in energy level, but I feel so much better over all. I'm interested to see how we do as well! I have my brother's wedding in November and I'm hoping to be under 200 by then. I start the gym next week and I'm stooked!

I just started exercising and calorie counting end of March 2010 and now I have lost 5lbs so far. My initial weight was 140lbs and I would like to go down to 125lbs.
I get on the elliptical trainer everyday for 30 minutes to 1 hour and my calorie intake should not be below 1,200 calories.
I hope to start doing power yoga total body workout this month. I already have the video by Rodney Yee and I just need to buy a yoga mat.
I hope I lose weight and achieve my 125lb goal.

This group is perfect for me. I have 25lbs to loose. I'm currently at 150 and I"m going to Hawaii in 20 days and would love to be down at least half of that by then. I watch what I eat and used to go to the gym everyday but i'm not able to anymore. I have a Wii fit but haven't gotten into a daily schedule with it. Any suggestions? I need motivation and wish I had Drill Seargent lol. Thanks for the group!0
