BMR is 1273, think that's the lowest on here...*shrug* might be because my metabolism is awful. How would you work out your TEE?

My BMR is 1375 and my TDEE is 2121. I just turned 58, so am an elderly woman. I try to keep my calories around 1000 because of my age.

I can't tell if you are being serious about 1000 calories or not. Please, for the love of all that is holy, tell me you are eating more than 1000 calories.

    BMR: 1428
    TDEE: 1997

I try to keep my calories around 1500-1600, and I usually eat back about 50% of my exercise calories.

BMR 1303 TDEE 1752 (which includes 5 hours of mixed cardio exercise per week or 40 minutes per day averaged)

I would NOT recommend Scooby's calculator as it does not take your body fat % into consideration when calculating...)

Yes, I limit myself to 1000 calories a day. I am trying to lose weight. Even with exercising and hour a day, the scale doesn't budge eating more. I think I just have a low metabolism.

Oh No! this is what is ruining your metabolism and why you will eventually become frustrated at 1000. You see the body will learn to live on that 1000 (like in famine times) and then will gain the moment you eat more. Please eat more now adding on slowly with good foods and adding exercise. I'm 54 and I've yo-yo dieted and ended up like you :(

Please look into eating more, it will keep you healthier the rest of your life. AND, by the way, 58 is NOT elderly!!

BMR is 1488 and TDEE is 1786. I have my cals set to 1550 and I eat back half of my exercise calories generally. I make sure not to go to bed hungry so some days are different from others.

My BMR is 1303, TDEE between 1700 an 1900 depending on activity level. I am getting a HRM to see if these numbers hold true.

If your BMR is 1375 then your metabolism is pretty normal for your age. Of course, if you are getting that number from an online calculator then all you are getting is the average BMR for your age, whether correct or not.

A HRM isn't going to give an accurate count of calories burned while just sitting around. They are best used while doing your workouts.

While I have not worked up a specific # for BMR I know it is about 1500ish.

Like someone mentioned earlier I usually just try to work in deficit of my TDEE (Usually TDEE-20%) or 500-1000 cals below my TDEE. My TDEE (as measured by my Body Media Fit Link) ranges from 2000-2100 on lazy days to 3400-3500 very active days but overall average between 2600-2800.

I generally work the TOTAL Calories over NET Calories when doing my calculations.

Don't really understand the BMR and TDEE, But my BMR is 1669 and the TDEE is 2003. It says I should be eating 1602 calories. I've been doing 1200 because that's what MFP gave me as my goal.
