How do you eat your avacado?

Today i had an open faced grilled cheese (using butter spray) on whole wheat with baby spinach, mozzarella cheese, and half of a sliced avacado...topped with a little pepper....It was sooooo yummy:) But would love to see how others eat their avacados.
Oh my gosh, that sounds AMAZING!! I love avocados so I eat them on sandwiches, in salads, as guac, stuffed with other veggies or chicken salad, and I love to eat them by themselves with just a sprinkle of Lawrey's seasoning.0 -
with chips or something crunchy.
on a sandwich is really good, too. a grilled cheese with avocado is yum. or on toast. or on eggs. (as long as i have toast too, i need crunch)0 -
Cut up on my salad. I also will put slices on egg and tomato sandwiches. I usually only make guacamole for a party, but when I do, my secret ingredients are zero fat Greek Yogurt (makes it really creamy), a little lime juice, and Tajin (a Mexican spice you can find at Mexican grocery stores). And never, ever, ever use a blender - only a fork to mash it up.0

I like either plain, in grilled cheese, or as a chocolate pudding... sooooo good! I can eat it any which way0

I eat half for breakfast every day - bring it to work with half a fresh lemon, add sea salt, and dig in! SO GOOD.0

Great ideas! I love how avocado can be sweet or savory.
If I don't want bread with breakfast, I take an avocado and cut a slice from the middle, so there's a big hole where the seed is, then fry an egg inside of it, sort of like a toad in the hole without the bread. Or you can cut the avocado in half, hollow it out a little more if it's a small one, break an egg in each half, and bake them in the oven. Top with salsa, tzatziki, yogurt, cheese...eat with a spoon.
Mashed on a wheat matzoh with smoked salmon, lox, or tuna.
Mashed with eggs for an egg salad sandwich.
For dessert, blended with almond milk and honey, or as a replacement for butter in higher fat baked goods.0 -

So glad this thread is here- because I am swimming in avocados!! (A great problem to have, right?!)
They are so readily available here in California- and with Superbowl being last weekend... they were on sale 3 for $1.00 So I have 6 (left over from buying 9!!) and need to get my avocado on!!
Yummmmmm0 -
Every which way I can! In eggs, salads, sandwiches, in tuna & all by itself with a spoon!0

I top my black bean tacos with avocado. I use large corn tortillas heated without oil until the a firm enough to hold the traditional taco shape, half filled with seasoned black beans, and then topped with fresh chopped onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, kale or cabbage, and then the avocado. I use a quarter per taco, sliced. Yum! (No cheese, no meat, no oil)0

I usually make guacomole, but I've tried it in a smoothie and didn't like it too much. Tonight I am going to add it to my salad.0

I've been eating it (about a tablespoon at a time) in onigiri (rice balls). Chop it up, mix with a bit of drained chopped pickled ginger and use it for a non-traditional onigiri filling. They freeze really well too.0

With mozzarella, tomato, basil and balsamic. Yum yum0

I actually threw one in my smoothie. We went from the Ninja to the Blentec and I finally figured it could handle the whole avacado, seed and all. Added a really nice creamy texture to the smoothie. Gonna keep it in the mix!0

sliced and diced on my eggs0

Usually sliced on a salad, but today I had 1/2 smeared on a tortilla, a hand full of spring mix and a can of tuna. Yum! Over the weekend, I had an omelet with chicken, avocado and fontina cheese.0
