I prefer homemade burgers on the grill to anything I could get out. I like to grind my own beef chuck...I like mine with sharp cheddar and New Mexico (Hatch) green chile...sometimes bacon.

    Five Guys is overrated.

I don't eat meat anymore, but when I did, my burger had to be flame-grilled.

MMMM!!! Mine is a double double cheeseburger with grilled onions from In & Out. Only west coast people will know about In & Out.... nom nom nom it's so so so good! Lol clearly I'm a girl on a diet
Ah In&Out, I love their cheeseburger with onions and french fries. I'm pretty happy that the one where I live is on the other end of town and near the highway that it's almost always packed when I feel like going there for lunch or dinner. Otherwise I'd probably go there more than I should and would wreak so much havoc on my diet.

Peanut butter, banana, and bacon OR pear, caramelized onions and brie cheese.
Courtesy of The Works in southern Ontario. :)

You put peanut butter and bananas on your burgers? O.o

    That's what I was thinking....

  • There's this burger joint by me called the Burger Shack, and every time I go there i order the Burger From Hell. It's an 8oz burger with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, habanero sauce, and jalapenos. I always get sweet potato fries with it too........

Bad burger: Homemade thick burger on the grill at home to be had with an ice cold beer.

Healthy burger: Bocca Vegan burgers (not too bad when the craving hits)

There's a local place (Hopdoddy's) that makes a burger called "El Diablo" Beef, Jack cheese, a chipotle sauce, chopped habaneros, serranos, lettuce, tomato. My face is on fire by the end of it but it tastes AMAZING!

I made gorgonzola and bacon burgers tonight!

No bun, though. And served with a side of green beans. Whatever. It's a burger!

Home ground (I can cook it rare then) from untrimmed ribeye (not too lean) 1/2 lb, Aged swiss on the bottom, homemade gorgonzola dressing on top, slice of sweet onion, and a couple of clausen garlic dill sandwich slices and a little ketchup and spicy brown mustard.

sweet potato fries optional, napkin mandatory.

No offense to west coast people but we got a few In & Out locations here in DFW about two years ago and most people can't figure out what the big deal is. They're just ok.

We have Whataburger and Burger Island to contend with here. Not to mention Five Guys and Sonic. Burger Island's bacon cheeseburger is about the size of my head, takes two days to finish and is so good it can make a grown man cry. It is my ultimate cheat food!

My hubby's grilled burgers! I like mine with swiss cheese, grilled onions, bacon, tomato, and avocado.
(And he's planning to fire up the grill tomorrow--YES!)

Elevation burger has been yum the last couple of times I've been there.

I usually go traditional - lettuce, tomato, pickles, and raw onion.

  • There is a local place where I live called the BBQ Hut that makes a burger called The Hut Burger. Half a pound of seasoned beef with homemade chili, homemade slaw, mustard, and onions. Haven't had one is so long it makes me teary eyed thinking about it lol :)
  • Hamburger without buns.
