Michelle - I seem to do my best work right away in the morning but more typically in the evening after bed. I think it's just the being able to breath now that the house is quiet. :P

Welcome Deana! I substitute as well on my hubby's days off occasionally. It's a nice way to make a few extra dollars! :P

Today my parents ended up making beanie weanie.....not exactly a healthy meal but it sure beat going out! I managed to stay under my calorie goal and that's without getting my workout in! :) 3 more pounds till I get under 110! Just plugging away, but at least the trend is fairly steady downwards (maybe not as fast as I like, but that's okay!) Got to see my adorable nephew and had a blast with my sister! :P We're pretty close so it's been a bummer having her move farther away, but it was soooo nice to see her and her kiddo again! :) Have a great Sunday everyone!

    Valerie

    Goals for tomorrow:
    file all my old paperwork!
    drink tons of water!
Do one fun activity with my kiddos and hubby!

Hey girls! Back from a successful trip to Boise. Almost all of my ponies went top 3 in their classes, including one divisional Reserve Champion. I didn't paint that one (she's just a regular old Breyer), but she's mine and I love her :)

My hands are getting better. There's still several things I struggle with doing, but that's not my complaint. My left thumb is still preeeeetty cranky. We have to bandage it awkwardly, so the joints don't get much of an opportunity to move. It's not the wounds that hurt (unless I bump them), it's my joints. Like waking up with an awful crick in your neck, only concentrated into your thumb knuckle.

Other than that, just feeling sleepy a lot. Hope to get back to running soon :)

I spent a good chunk of Sunday afternoon on the internet trying to figure out how to make my audible books work on my mp3 player or phone, but it appears they just won't. my only option seemed to be writing them to dozens of cds them re-ripping them onto my computer as mp3s, then loading them. Ugh. Only my own fault for not thoroughly checking that my devices were compatible, but bad form on their part for not making it clear that "most devices" doesn't mean most devices!

So I'm gonna go buy the cheapest iPod I can find ($129 for a 4GB shuffle so not too bad) on my way home from work so I can use them.

great!!! sorry about your hand--you're quite a trouper. do you need to have it checked and maybe splinted??? are the wounds still bleeding? you don't need me to tell you--but what a hard thing to endure. get your rest and fluids. (hugs, my friend)

    kept to my cals!!!!

sassy, bummer about the audio book thing.

just so you all know--i haven't actually done anything with all the fabric. just have it. still working on boy's fleece blanket. i stitched the rdy made binding all around--ran short and it was bumpy and UGLY. so i'm unpicking it all.
    PLAN B.
downloaded an ADORABLE bag pattern and hope to tackle that after the blankets.
I am making tiny tooth pockets for the girls. dd2 is almost almost almost gonna lose tooth #1!

anyway, thanks for always letting me share ALL the parts of my life. you girls are my strength

good job sticking with the cals, Stacey!
Sassy, for what it's worth, I LOVE my iPod, Steve. Well worth the $100+ we paid :)

When I take my bandages off at night, I do have a little spot or two of blood on the pad, but nothing to be alarmed over. The doctor said when I'm not bleeding anymore that I can go free bird (no bandages, just stitches vs. the world). Will see tonight how the wounds are doing. The spots were very minimal last night.

Tomorrow night will be very good for two reasons:
    1) I get to shower in my new bathroom for the first time
    2) I get to shower without the stupid bandages!

The doctor said not to get my hands wet until Sunday-ish. You can imagine what a wrench that throws in to hand washing after using the toilet! I've just been using hand sanitizer a lot. At the hotel in Boise, my friend brought those orange house cleaning gloves and had me use them with some hair bands. They worked okay, well enough to scrub myself, but I didn't dare try washing my hair. I'll let hubby deal with that tomorrow. I sure need it!

well the shop I went to was actually out of the shuffle I wanted so I got a 8GB nano instead because I just couldn't face traipsing to another store to check for stock.
But YAY! audiobooks - they work!

Trish - such a bummer about your hands....probably the aggravation hurts more than the wounds themselves. :P Glad you get to use your new shower though!

Sassy - Glad you found something that you can listen to your audio books on!

Today I hung out with my sister, and also managed to get all the pictures pasted into my baby books for the girls so I'm all caught up in that department. Also for some reason stayed waaaaaay under my calorie intake for the day without even trying. yay for lots of veggies! :P My love for them is growing as I realize the large quantity and can eat without the large calorie intake. :P

Tomorrow.....we do battle with the yard. Since this was a short sale everything was over grown and we just haven't had time for it. But tomorrow we plan to take it on! As well as dd2 has her 6 month appointment we should stay pretty busy! :P

Have a great start to your week!
