    Amy, Kristin, and Cathy - This is the week of FOCUS!!!

    Weighing a little later, so I will post. I am a little frustrated because if I had actually stayed focused these past 5 weeks, I know my success would have been great. Self-saboteur here. But also had a surprise TOM, which explained oh so many crying jags and sugar attacks. Still exercising this week, although energy level is down.

    Good morning everyone. I missed yesterday's weigh in but i am still the same. Been swimming every other day and just started to run on the treadmill again. So far my foot is fine. YEA! Very happy about that. I am hoping to stay on track this weekend. It's not that I eat to much, it's that i don't eat or my schedule is all off, then at the end of the day i am trying to pack some food in.

    Verda - Hope the iodine works for you. That why i never really worry about salt in my diet. My doc told me to have some in the morning especially.

    Emma - Take care of yourself. I'll say a prayer for you.

    B - You sound great! Keep up the good work.

    Tamm - Did you pick a house yet?


    I am all about staying focused this month. The cruise is sneaking up on me. Have a great day everyone!

    Woke up to do my AM workout! Taebo this time... :-) I'm on a roll. My weight is up and down every day... had some hormonal things going on. Will post weight soon.

    Morning all!

    No exercise last night (BUMMER)! I went to the grocery store (which took FORever!) and then a friend came over and we grilled out! YUM! Pork kabobs and deer steak! Also had some Easter chocolate (smacking hands)! It's supposed to be pouring rain today, so I think walking this evening is out. We'll see what I can get done!

    how about we go ahead with next challenge and we can choose to weigh in or not weigh on tuesday. but, to just be here for each other. it seems everyone is going though some rough times, some medical issues, some soul searching. just thought i would put it out there.

    did 45 walk/jog, 6 cups water down already.

    have granddaughters for the rest of week. planning some projects to do.

    That sounds fine Cathy! I hope everyone knows that that is always an option. I will actually start the new challenge thread soon...so that way we have it. Is everyone still okay with "Springing Sixers"? Or what about "Sixers Springing Forward"? Let me know. I'm thinking it would be kinda nice for people to post what they're eating again-like we used to. Might give some of us ideas, plus it holds us accountable for what we're eating. What do you guys think? For example, here's what I have planned so far today:

    Breakfast-2 c. coffee with 4 tbsp. sugar free creamer, 1 c. multigrain cheerios with 1/2 c. skim milk
    AM snack-banana and blueberry cereal bar
    Lunch-turkey, cheese, and spinach sandwich, baby carrots, and light yogurt.
    Afternoon snack-peanutbutter chocolate chip granola bar, 5 mini Crunch eggs
    Dinner-Teriyaki pinapple marinaded Chicken breast with some veggie and maybe rice

    That's what I have planned so far. ANYways...have a good morning all!

    Hey sixers!

    I know I swore I would be around more, and I swear I will!!! I am just swamped with a project and two papers at the moment, I kind of procrastinated last week, and as a result I am SWAMPED this week!

    I worked out on a elliptical with verian heights(i dk wut the offical name was) but a consistant resistance of 10, For an hour last night. Burned over 700 cals. Have been eating great and keeping up with my water. Unofficially saw 199.2 this morning! I almost peed my pants I was soo excited!

    Alrighty I have to run to class :( Then come home and slave over this project some more. Later!

    Well, I weighed in the last 2 days and it's not good news. ONWARD! I ordered my materials for my group fitness cert and I'm suspecting that NOT wanting to be the fat teacher at the gym will be some extra motivation!

    Since we're home learners I'm not looking for much time or committment... just getting free gym memberships for me and my husband and getting a bit of pay for teaching sounds pretty darned good to me! I miss teaching and I miss working in fitness so I'm looking forward to it :)

    Kristen - don't you love the multi grain cheerios. I have mine with blueberries and banannas. Sometimes with almonds. One of my fav breakfasts. These past few mornings have been so great. (weather) I sit out on my patio and enjoy the quiet in the morning. Love this and it sets up my day to be great.

    Verda - how is the sodium doing?

    Rhiannon - really the fat instructor? You are so healthy. What has this world come to. LOL! Go out there and be the best you can be.

    I think my liquid iodine prescription may be starting to work, I did my Boot Camp dvd by Cathe this morning then I took my furry kids for a 4.5 mile speed walk this afternoon. But I am ready to head to bed so I will try to post tomorrow! Night!

    It's always funny when you plan your menu for the following day and have trouble packing in enough calories! lol
    I haven't added in the calories I'll burn at BodyPump and I'm still under by 322 calories. AFTER BodyPump I'll have a surplus of at least 700 calories if I don't add more. Here's my plan so far for tomorrow:

    1: 1% cottage cheese w/ sliced mango (pre-workout)
    2: steel-cut oats w/ flax, cinnamon, raisins, skim milk & maple syrup (post-workout)
    3: kale & chevre omelet w/ organic salsa
    4: vanilla blueberry protein shake (skim milk, 1/2 c blueberries, protein powder)
    5: mixed green salad w/ veggies & tuna

    and I've got broccoli, apple & baby carrots to eat whenever throughout the day. I need more calories, fat and fibre to balance out the macronutrients. We're going to see Avatar tomorrow (I never buy food at the movies) so maybe I'll bring a bar of some kind (a clean protein bar maybe....)

    I REALLY want to try to get out of the habit of eating flour-based products daily. Some days, okay. But I know my body will be happier if I eat basic grains like rice and steel cut oats, and enough protein is SO important. Also, cutting down on sugar. Some maple syrup on my oatmeal and the raisins in the oatmeal (only 1 tbsp of each) isn't too bad and I'm trying to sub in more veggies for fruits. Too bad I don't like avocadoes; those would be a perfect calories-fats-fibre punch to round out my day!

    I hope everyone gets on the food-sharing bandwagon. I know for me I feel much more accountable if I'm posting it, and sometimes we can spot things in each others' menus that could be causing some trouble or could be tweaked.

    LAURYN, I wanted to send you a hug. Just remember that if you take it one decision at a time you can DO THIS!!!!

    Everyone else...GOOD MORNING!

    AFM--No workout last night, and I am already down because I know my exercise will be limited the next couple weeks. I went to the doctor on Monday and they did a biopsy on some skin from my back. I need to go back next Thursday to get more removed from my back and on my legs. SO...with recovery (they say usually 2-3 weeks) I will be getting in no exercise at all because where the samples are being taken from my legs, I won't even be doing much walking. It SUCKS!!!!!! But I suppose it's better to get it taken care of then to let it turn into something worse. So, I'm not going to complain much. BUT...this means that for the next couple weeks I need to SERIOUSLY evaluate and monitor what I'm eating. It's going to be a struggle since many times I exercise JUST so I can eat more calories (HORRIBLE!) I may be leaning on you gals for some support. So, that's next Thursday.     Well, Kadence is still enjoying daycare! And the daycare provider LOVES her! I'm really glad that's going so well. And she is SO close to crawling! I thought last night she was going to just start going like crazy, but she gave up and flopped on her belly! SO funny!! I don't know that I'm ready to put up the baby gates yet! CRAZY!

    Well...time to start some work. Here's the tentative meal plan for today:

    B-Yogurt burst cheerios with skim milk, 2 c. coffee and 4 tbsp. sugar-free creamer
    S-banana and blueberry breakfast bar
    L-Breaded pork loin, celery with natural PB, baby carrots, light yogurt
    S-Peanut butter chocolate chip granola bar
    D-Chicken, green beans, rice (since we didn't end up having this last night)
