    Neophyte.
  • There's nothing derogatory about "newb"!

Newb = someone who is new at something
Noob = someone who sucks at something

How many squats do I have to do to be able to achieve this NSV?

I am a Newbie and don't find it offensive. In due course as I learn and get experienced I will be able to share my experience to some newcomer like me.
  • Better than what my on-line gaming community tends to use: Noob. Or N00B … Derived from newbie and definitely more derogatory.

I don't have a problem with "newbie," personally.

Noob is annoying. At least with newbie it has a cute tone to it if said the right way.

Someone mentioned the word "Rookie" which I associate with beginners in sports.

OR..how many pizza's do I have to chow down before my butt hovers just above the floor so I only have an inch or two to lean back and achieve the same results?

I think you have to squat in high heels.

I'm pretty sure eating a chair and a bucket of chili would produce the desired effect.

"He who shall not be experienced"?

    I appreciate this.

    Perhaps, "beginnoramus"?

Emany, you win. You win at life.

But, I want a permanent effect, not a bodywrap-esque quick fix.

I'm a newbie and okay with that.

But if we're going to get all technical about it, here's what the correct terms are. Yes, I am also a nerd who gets technical about stuff.

Untrained - an individual who has not trained in the exercises before but can perform them correctly
Novice - An individual who has trained regularly for up to several months
Intermediate - An individual who has trained regularly for up to a couple years
Advanced - An individual who has trained multiple years
    Elite - ..................................:flowerforyou:

Okay, back to nerding it out elsewhere.

I like the idea of some crazy instructor screaming 'pop that squat cherry, virgin!'

    No.

EVERYONE is a noob at some point, with EVERYTHING they do in life.

You start at the bottom, and you work your way up. The law of nature.

I was convinced I would read through the thread and see everyone was joking. But nope, dead serious.

Just goes to show that SOMEONE will be offended by absolutely anything nowadays
