When the weather gets a bit warmer in my neck of the woods I will be joining in on bike challenges. I wasn't on my bike for nearly ten years while I was living in Europe. Plan on getting back into touring in the next year. Did Vancouver to Montreal many years ago, time to get ready to do the East Coast of Canada, and then Europe, or maybe a two week somewhere else.0

Hmm, I don't really track my mileage but am getting a bike computer, so maybe it's time. Don't have a goal--I'll bike to work when it doesn't rain or snow and do a ride or two on the weekends. Clear weather so far in March so I'm off to a good start:
March 1: 14 miles
March 2: 6 miles (with my wife awwwww)
March 3: 13 miles
March 4: 14 miles (if I make it home!)
March to date: 47 miles0 -

I'm in! I'm going for total rides bc the spin bike at my gym doesn't calculate miles!
I'm aiming for 2-3 hour long classes/wk so 8-12 classes (hopefully around 80-120 miles!)

Count me in. My goal would be 15/day 100/7days or 443/mo. I started in January but logging for my own curiosity. This should be fun.

I am a Mountain Biker Chick.. Live in Rotorua, New Zealand.. the Whakarewarewa Forest is my play ground (google it!!), and a white, black and pink Transition Covert is my steed..
I don't have any goals for March as most of my weekends have already been booked up with visitors and attending a wedding (as the bridesmaid no less), but it is cool to see other cyclists on here.. I do have a long term goal, and that is a 106km mountain bike ride in March 2014, my longest ride thus far is 70km over the Christmas break.. so hopefully if I keep it up I should succeed!
Went for a wee pedal with some friends on Sunday 4th.. rode about 35km.. don't you hate it when you realise you had Strava all set up, but forgot to turn on the GPS!!

Welcome back, BigYin! I seem to remember you from last summer. You were one of the first people to join my cycling threads.:happy:
I'm just popping in to say hi. The sun is shining and we've finally reached a balmy 30 degrees. I'm afraid that I'm rather a fair weather cycler. No snow rides for me. Unfortunately, I don't have access to an indoor bike and didn't learn about trainers until spring was on the horizon and I didn't want to spend the money if I was going to get outside again. :blushing:

Got my first ride of March in! 10 miles---although I'm feeling great this week so what usually takes me 60 min now takes me 50 (less cals burnt!) but that's a good problem to have! May have to do a couple extra miles just to buffer for the days when the baby/uterus isn't cooperating

Back in. My only goal this month is to beat last month's total, which shouldn't be too hard, theoretically. Trying to up the mileage though to be competitive in theBigYin's classic challenges and not finish DFL (I guess that's better than DNF though

Count me in. I have a target of 400 miles a month, but did not hit it in January and February due to bad weather and illness. Hoping to make up some (if not all) of the deficit this month. Mileage so far is:
01/03/2013 - 31.4 miles - 2 commutes
02/03/2013 - 12.5 miles - for pleasure
04/03/2013 - 21.0 miles - 2 commutes
05/03/2013 - 31.5 miles - 2 commutes
Total so far 93 miles. YTD total is 700 miles.

Think I'll join. I'm running an Advneture Race in the middle of April that contains 40 miles of Mt Biking; I need to get some saddle time during March. I rode between 21-22 miles this past weekend. I'll be looking to double that this weekend, and when DST starts I'll be riding during the week too. I prefer mountain, and I need to train mountain. But I'll ride on pavement for convience. My aluminum steed is a Specialized Rockhopper that's 10 years old, but has had virtually everything upgraded or replaced on it.0
