That makes me want to throw up! Ugh!!!0

Disgusting!!
...though I have to admit that the nutrition wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.0 -
Hate to admit it, but I think it looks yummy.:blushing:0
-
Unfortunately, I think that looks freaking fantastic - thus the reason I am came to this site looking for help.0
-
does not look very apppetizing. its not even a complete meal. just meat and cheese? it seems pretty dumb to call that a sandwich in my opinion.0
-
oh it so does look delish! Thank goodness they only have one fast food restaurant in my town! lol0
-
Eww. There are SO many other things I'd rather use those calories for. Then again, I'm not (and have never been) a fast food eater.0
-
that looks freakin amazing, I'm gonna go pretend I'm eating it right now haha0

Chicken Instead of Bread?
America is in the middle of an obesity epidemic, and this is KFC's answer to it? KFC is now offering a sandwich made of chicken, bacon, and cheese in between two slabs of fried chicken. Yes - I'll say it again - the fried chicken REPLACES the bun!
I'm glad they won't be selling it here in Canada.

 :noway: This doesn't look tasty at all. I bet the grease would dribble down your chin and settle nicely in your arteries.0
-
It's very surprising to me that the difference between the grilled chicken version and the fried version is only 80 calories!
They could have at least thrown a slice of tomato and a sprinkle of lettuce in there, but I still wouldn't eat either version anyway.0 -
It looks like a real artery stopper. Maybe it's a form of population control.0

Yeah, it's called "Natural Selection" birth control. :noway:0 -
And this is what it REALLY looks like...
Ew. :sick:0 -

ok, scratch my last post - that does look gross0 -
SO gross. I don't understand how you can pretend chicken is a substitute for a bun....ugh!0
-
I thought it would be a lot worse for you than it says. They've been talking about this on the radio for the last couple days. One of the guys has had it the last two days and is planning on continuing eating it everyday. GROSS!0
-
I bet it taste sooo good...Its the after feeling..the greasy nasty bloated feeling that keeps me from eating that crapola!0
-
I tried to order one last week. :blushing: They weren't yet available. I think they are out now.0
-
that looks freakin amazing, I'm gonna go pretend I'm eating it right now haha

I'm already thinking of how I can make a "healthier" version at home..... mmmmmm bacon!0 -
I think it looks (as advertised) fantastic.0
-
I want one sooo badly. lol I could workout for an extra 10 minutes to add that to my food diary. Too bad (or maybe good) that there is no KFC for 30 miles.0
-
Two things:
1) The real picture of it is much grosser than i thought it would be.
2) I'm totally willing to try to make this in a healthy version at home (a.k.a. sans the sodium content, changing out for part skim cheese and turkey bacon)0 -
Gross!
I think the reason they removed the buns was partially due to the fact that so many people are 'anti carbs'. Lots of protein in this, I'd imagine! (To go along with all the fat and sodium...)
Funny thing is, the calories aren't really any worse than what you'd get with a Big Mac.0 -

Everbody believes it's only 540 calories, and it's the same as a Big Mac.
There's been many skeptics that are stating that this is not accurate, they are saying that the sandwich is 700-800 calories
Something to think about, as I just found out that we shouldn't be believing what the fast food places are listing as accurate.Consumers who choose what they eat based on nutrition labels may think they're making healthy choices, but new research published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association indicates that those familiar labels may be greatly underestimating the number of calories in restaurant and packaged food.
.
.
.
The study further reports that the US Food and Drug Administration allows up to 20% excess energy content but weight must be no less than 99% of the stated value. This might lead manufacturers to add more food to the package to insure compliance with the weight standards and thereby exceed the stated energy content.0 -
Here's is something interesting to consider about this chicken thing.... As it has no bread/carbs you will not gain weight from eating it as your body can only store fat if insulin is released and your body can only realease insulin if you have eaten a carbohydrate. Plus carbohydrate is easier fro your body to use so your body will use it over fat then store the fat, so...If you eat a regular burger with a bread bun, your body will use the bun, produce insulin and store the fat (cheese, beef etc) BUT if you eat the bunless chicken thing, your body will use it all!
If you dont believe this, please see the references.

If that were true, then Atkins himself wouldn't have been obese.

thanks mandieg EWE!! Glad for the warning and you are right it looks nothing like the picture!!!!0

I am SO glad this thing wont be available in Canada. I know MANY people who would line up for this thing - most of them family! I imagine people keeling over with chest pains after eating this thing.
I dont buy the advertised nutritional value in it. It's 2 hunks of deep fried breaded chicken with cheese and bacon. No way it's under 1000 calories. Maybe the grilled one is under 600 cals, but not the fried one.0 -
Ew! the real pic looks really really disgusting!0
