Having the right gear makes a difference to your workout!

Just wanted to share my experience about getting the right gear to make your workouts as comfortable as they can be. I have found that having the right gear (from panties, bra, tights to t-shirt) really does make a difference to your workout. I just tried out my new workout bras and they absolutely get me to focus on the class rather than worrying about tit bits.

If you are feeling a bit uncomfortable with your gear, I'd say go and try on some new gear that fits around your body. There's nothing like jumping up and down and everything goes together in motion with comfort.

Anyone keen to share their experiences?

YES. Good workout pants with a drawstring are essential for me! I have such a hard time finding pants that don't slide down because I have somewhat slender hips. I cannot concentrate if I'm worrying about my pants falling around my ankles. :P

Agreed. I like to feel all secure and tucked in... and, well, hot... So I say get something that makes you feel awesome while sweating. It makes it WAY easier to get it done

Oh, thats where I'm going wrong - If I want to make gains I need to ditch the £2.99 tops and £5 shorts? Damn.

Very true, at the moment my workout gear is all a little big for me and I am finding it really distracting whilst I am working out. Constantly having to pull them up!

Agree. Cool gear boosts your self-esteem and with it your performance.
  • Agree! Especially the right trainers, bras and pants that don't fall down.

OK, I'll give you that pants that stay up do possibly improve performance over those that fall down..

I have 2 requirements. A shirt that I'm willing to sacrifice to the knurls on my squat bar, like an old cotton t-shirt. Underarmor type stuff gets ruined and it's too expensive. Pants that don't split when I'm squatting. Loose sweats or shorts. That's all I need. Sometimes if I'm feeling particularly randy I'll take my shirt off when deadlifting. Of course, this is all done in the privacy of my basement and no young children or women are scarred for life by viewing this train wreck.
