No I won't have to get recertified when ICD-10 comes along, I have taken a ton of the ICD-10 courses and I have it down...I would only have to get recertified if took the test too late in the year, there is a deadline, I'm not sure of the exact date, but I don't have to retake it....CCS-P and RHIT here. What type of coding do you do?

I'm a NCMA (Nationally Certified Medical Assistant) but currently just doing Medical processing paperwork for civilian contractors going overseas.

I miss being hands-on in the field so much though... =( but I can't pass up my current job at the moment, gotta pay the student loans and bills.

RN (L&D) for 13 years, however I am now working for a software company as their business analyst. Our product is a nurse-call system for use in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, etc. so I am technically still in the medical field. :)
