Yes, I do the elliptical seven days a week, it's not like I'm doing insanely active workouts and bench pressing 200. I did miss one day because I spent the whole day going to the VA hospital three hours' drive away, with my husband. By the time we got home it was late, so just fell into bed. That's the only day I've missed out of 30.

I try but if we are traveling out of town or something my excercise becomes just walking and things of that nature and on those days I try to eat a bit lighter foods cuz I'm excercising less. I do try really hard though to work out atleast 40min a day minimum.

    7 days a week here,
Aim for 2x a day Mon-fri, and once a day Saturday + Sunday.
sessions are currently quite short as my knee's still bust.
    [edit]
i do normally vary my exercise though,s o some days are not that intense
Currently not the case cos I'm very limited in the exercises i can do

99% of the time, but, my only form of exercise is walking...3-4 miles per day.

I try to get up and do SOMETHING every day. If I take a day off, it may lead to two, then three, then I'd be right back where I started.

I usually workout 4-5 days a week, but I am active every single day. I work on my feet so 5 days a week I'm moving ALL day.

    Monday: run ~30min
    Tuesday: recumbent bike ~30, ST
    Wednesday: run ~30
    Thursday: recumbent bike ~30, ST
    Friday: run ~30
    Saturday: ST, spin class 45-60min
    Sunday: recumbent bike ~40

I have to work out first thing in the morning, or it just doesn't happen. And because I hate mornings, I find if I sleep in a couple days a week, then getting back into the routine of waking up early is just painful. So it is easier to always get up. If I feel like I need a break, I will sometimes skip cardio and spend 20 minutes just stretching. When my body says it really needs a break, I listen and take them as needed, but that is usually only when I'm feeling under the weather.

    Yes. 7 days a week.

I run, strength train, and do yoga. Though I use the "go hard" approach sparingly and don't overwhelm my recovery.

Well I've only been at this a month, but in that month I've only rested 1 day. I only get 1200 calories per day. I really need that workout, so that I can boost my calorie intake to something closer to 1500. That's my motivation to workout 7 days a week.

I exercise every day, but not at the same intensity every day. Some people call this "active rest."

So, most of the week, I workout for an hour, combining circuit training and fairly high intensity aerobics, but one day a week, I just goof off on the Wii or go for a walk. Of course, since my goal is to walk 5k in 45 minutes, some people would consider that pretty high intensity. But there were still two girls who walked right past me last weekend! I can't decide if achieving my 45 minute goal will help me look like them, or if being that much smaller would make it easier: I am probably dragging 70 more pounds around that loop than they are!

    hell no

    Ditto, lol.

I do get in activity MOST days of the week, but if I don't do it one day...no big deal. I'm not eating anything that's going to throw off my week if I don't burn calories one or two days a week doing exercise. For me, I'm MORE consistent if I don't get too obsessive about it...I can't do all or nothing because it all becomes so erratic and I get no where.

Do you exercise 7 days a week? Or do you give your body at least 1 day for rest?

Yes, but then I love what I do and I listen to my body so I never burn out.

edit: as I notice concordancia says, "active rest", on a couple of days in the week.

I work out 7 days a week, 1 - 2 days may be lighter cardio with weights involved, but I do something everyday. Its working for me now, so don't know if I'll change it up in the future.

Yes, normally 7 days a week. Not these past two months, though, due to surgery recovery and a major life issue. But for about the previous 8-9 months, yes, and once I get this stuff taken care of I'll be back to that.

I exercise every day but consider my 2 days of strength training as active rest for my long run days. I don't think it is crucial to exercise every day. I only do so because I enjoy it and it helps me to be more mindful of what and when I eat. A lot of this though depends on what program you are doing. There is no one right answer.

Yes, I do but two of the days are targeting cardio, pushups, and abs only. The remaining days I focus more on weight training.

My goal 7 days a week at a min. of 30 minutes but I usually end up doing a lot more.
When my body tells me to rest, I do, I did not work Sunday or Monday because my achilles was killing me. I have eased myself back in this week.

i do something every day. 2 days a week i avoid the gym and on those days i take the dogs on long walks and do gentle yoga. For me, there's no reason not to do something physical every day...

Five days a week for me. Without those two days, something would probably break or drop off after a couple of months.

Three quite heavy days, two lighter ones and two of lifting a heavy remote control, shopping bags or the laptop.

    Mon- Bootcamp + C25k jog
Tuesday - PT session + Metafit class
    Wed - Bootcamp + walk
    Thurs - Strength training + C25k jog
    Fri - Bootcamp + walk
    Sat - Metafit class + C25k jog
    Sun - Hill walking

I used to count walking as a workout because of how high it would send my heart rate. I count Sunday as a rest day simply cos I dont do as much, but I still get exercise.

i used to do 7 days a week, but since working with a personal trainer, he advises me to take at least one day off, so that day is usually Sunday. Your body needs a day of rest.

I try to exercise in some capacity almost every day. Usually Sundays are my "rest" day, but I still throw in a decent walk or light run to keep loose.
