    Girl: Autmn Rayn

LOVE this name for a little girl. :o) Autumn Raine is what I had picked out when I was pregnant, but turned out I was having a little boy.
And well, my boys names are the best and I see they haven't made the list yet:

    Phoenix
    Ryder
    Hunter

Easton is an awesome name too, but that will be for the next baby if he's a boy.

Congratulations!! And good luck with the names!

I babysit a Phoenix! I thought it was such a cute name, we call her phoenie or nixie poo :p

Alyse is a pretty name, my aunt named her daughter "Alise" but I like the Y better.

My DD is Ruby Laine (both music references since music brought my man and I together). I originally wanted Ruby Moon, but Laine worked out so much better and I'm so glad my sweet man suggested it.

For a boy it would have been Lennon Hayes.

I suggest looking at the top names and NOT choosing one of those. As someone who has the #1 name from the year they were born I have to say I still HATE it! The Social Security Administration has a thing that will tell you how popular the name is in your state and how many babies were named that last year.

Congratulations. I prefer biblical names not necessary for the religious aspect, more the meaning and the names will never be outdated. For girls - Naomi, Ester, Miriam, Martha. boys -Jacob, Issac, Paul,Issaiah or Mark. Happy pregnancy and rest now because in no time you will be a very busy bee.

They have a cool approach to the way they group/categorize names. Stay on the blog and read down the middle of the page to start.

I tried to find names for my children that were not real common, I remember growing up having several Debbie's, Mike's, etc., but I didn't want to give them names that were so weird that they would hate them. I did find names to match their father's and my heritage. There father was of Irish descent and my family background is German. I never liked the idea of naming a child "for" someone, I believe each child should have their own identity--that I got from my mother. That said, naming children is a really personal thing, it's great you are asking for advise but you and your husband will have to make the ultimate decision.

I remember reading an article and it said to stand at your back door and yell the name you are thinking of several times. If you still like it then that's what you should name your child because you will be yelling it alot!

Had the same issue when naming my little girl.. I was one of a gazillion Samanthas throughout school... I wanted hers to be unique, but not too unique.

I wished and wished and wished we'd named our little girl Alanna or Aislinn, but my husband didn't like them, and I wasn't going to pick a name we didn't BOTH love.

So... maybe you and yours will love them! :D
