Any of you ever done the Warrior Dash?

My brother-in-law and another fellow co-worker talked me into this at the end of April. I've been very sedentary for the better part of 2 years and have just started working out and eating better. Can I be in shape for this in 2 months? Am I just fooling myself? I am very out of shape (in the worst shape of my life really). I'm pretty motivated if I have a goal. Unfortunately, my wife got very sick a while back and I really relied on her to keep me motivated which she has been unable to do while she's been sick.

I have a gym membership and a bike trail close to the house. Any ideas on training? Simple cardio to start with, then maybe build in some weight training?

Am I being WAY too optimistic?
