Hello everyone! I'm new to the site. I'm currently looking to lose a significant amount of weight for health purposes.
A family member recommend MFP and so far I'm liking everything I see. Encouraging members, food and exercise input tools, and apps. I'm looking forward to meeting people in the same boat, we all want to get healthy! :) I'm open to tips, feel free to share!

Welcome!

Welcome, I am not an expert but I will always support those in need of friends going through changes in life like myself. The only thing I can honestly say is be honest with yourself if you bite it log it. Drink lots and lots of water and the drink more water. Do not deprive yourself of something you really want because you are on a diet per say, this is a life change not a diet. My opinion and mine only is do not totally stop eating one certain thing. If you want it allow yourself calories for it and eat it, even if it is only a bite of something that might do it for you. Small portions. I told myself when I restarted MFP and this is my MOTO...You didn't gain this weight overnight and you will not lose this weight overnight. One day at a time and if you fall of the wagon do not beat yourself up dust yourself off and start again right then and there, do not wait until tomorrow. Again welcome and send me a friend request I will give all the support I can. I rejoined 1-15-13 and have lost a total of 15pounds I have 85 more to go a long way to go, but I know it can be done.
  • I've been slacking, but Re-reading your response was very encouraging, thanks for your kindess! :)
