So my A.D.D. got me to thinking.... If I die, none of my fitness pals will know. That's kinda sad..
I feel like the people I know in 3D don't log in enough to know how important ya'll are to me, and wouldn't think to inform you.
but I guess, it wouldn't matter anyway... i could be a 10 year old boy for all ya'll know right?

You could always establish contact with your MFP friends outside of the constraints of this site, if you are so inclined.0

Scatter, ^ this is why i don't meet with them outside of MFP.....0 -
I already have a deal with my best friend to get to my computer before my family does in the event of my untimely demise. No need for them to know what a despicable human being I am. Perhaps I will update my instructions to post an MFP status in memorandum0

omg I can't imagine not logging on and seeing you.. *shakes head* bad thoughts. Good thing I"m really a wizard and all my FL people will live forever in their healthiest state! :drinker:0

I know you're joking but sadly, the MFP community did lose someone last year...we weren't close but she was on my friends list--I heard about her death from another MFPal that was her real-life friend.
I guess you just establish "real life" contact with any peeps you want to alert to your impending death? I dunno...0 -
Well, thankfully I never log out and my husband would probably come on at some point and tell my friends like he did to update when I was having surgery 3 weeks ago, but if we both got taken out, hmmmm....0

My husband has strict orders for my FB page, maybe I should do the same for my MFP peeps....hhhhmmm0

This has actually happened. Fortunately, that individual had established contact with MFP members outside of the site. Honestly, after that happened, I made a point to friend some of my MFP besties on FB. I would hate for something to happen to me and people I care about and care about me not know anything.0

simple solution
1. lawyer
2. will
3. stipulation and account information in will for a person you know to log in and post "I died"0 -

If you're a 10 year old boy, then call me a pedophile because your body is BANGIN!

Oh! you know what... Maybe someone will go into all of my phone apps and snoop around and hopefully let everyone know.0 -
sadly, it's happened here before *sniffle* and we do find out.
that's terrible.0 -
If this really is important to you, establish contact outside of MFP and let your loved ones know who that person is. You may also want to instruct that MFP individual about how you would like the information spread... because putting the task of telling everyone you loved that you've passed is a huge burden.
After we lost our friend last year, I made sure my husband was very clear on what to do if I should die.0 -

I agree.. That has to be the hardest thing to say it over and over.. It would be best to say it once, and let the rest find out.0 -

She was the bestest! I may cry now.0 -

Soo crazy, I was thinking about this the other day.0

Yep, after losing her, I made a list of all my logins and passwords and specific instructions and gave it to someone I trust. May sound like overkill to some, but to the ones who get it, those are the ones I would be concerned about knowing anyway.0

*lip quiver*
No joke guys - have a plan.0
