24 hour stay on urban decay eye liner. amazing
I'm vouching for this. You can try putting on the primer, eyeliner, then run black (or whatever color you are using) over it.0 -
Try a cream liner. I used to use pencils and they'd always smear. I use the cheap stuff from the dollar store and it works fine.0

I use Estee Lauder and love it and have never had problems...
Buuut you say that hasn't worked for you so... :-/0 -
Mary Kay has an eye primer that works really well. It's only $12. Their eyeliner (also $12) is waterproof and stays put really well, in my experience.
You can find a consultant through marykay.com
I love the Mary Kay eye primer! And if you try it and hate it, Mary Kay offers a 100% money back guarantee0 -
Cheap trick I use to get elaborate eye makeup to stay on - hairspray. NOT recommended if you'll be outside running or anything, but for a regular day, it keeps that **** on. Just close your eyes, spray a light coat, and don't light up a cigarette for a few minutes.
That said, soooo gonna try some primer stuff now. That looks fun!0 -
Infinite liquid eyeliner is the BEST. I've been using it for years. It is a b*tch to clean off, but it lasts all day!0

Whatever eyeliner you use, make sure to set it with powder. It can be translucent or the color of the liner. Get a small angled brush to do it.
You could also use liquid liner if it's above your eyes. L'oreal Lineur Intense is a really good one.0 -
Follow it up with this and you'll wake up the next morning without a single thing smudged and out of place. This is important to me especially if I'm doing the walk of shame...
LOL! If your going to do the walk of shame you might as well look good doing it!0 -
yeah those are right. i sell cosmetics and skin care. our eye liners are water resistant you might want to get one like that too and combined with an eye primer you should be good. there are also water resistant cream shadows that double as primer, we sell I am sure others do too. just go to a makeup counter and tell them exactly what yousaid here. they can help you find what you need.
I have done this, every time they assure me it WONT run this time. And, it does.0 -
Thanks everyone, some really good ideas here!!!
And yes, I'm oily too so that is not helping at all.0 -
I have very oily eyelids, so daily I use a kohl eyeliner (MAC) and i line my lower lashline and waterline with it.. I then set it with MAC carbon black eyeshadow... and setting it with the shadow makes it stay all day/night... I do this on many of my clients too and it works amazingly0

I use Smashbox products and have no issues.0

And yes, I'm oily too so that is not helping at all.
me too.
my routine-
Primer for sure (I use MAC). Upper and lower.
Powder next (just what I do)
Urban Decay or Lorac eye liner.
no touchy after that.0 -
Best ever - Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes. You can get it at Sephora online. I have always had problems with getting a mirror image eyeliner line on my eyelid from when my eyes are open and with this, it never happens. It's waterproof and smudge proof, but it washes off easily.
Totally agree!
I have oily eyelids so absolutely positively Urban Decay Primer potion is a must. For my liquid eyeliner, I use MAC Blacktrack fluidline. its gel like and you need a brush to apply it so its a bit more for advanced makeup users, but a quick easy way to put it on until you get proficient with a brush is to take a regular black eyeliner pencil and dip the tip into the gel pot of Blacktrack and apply to your eye.
i joke not when I say that I can drink too much, throw up and the rest of my face is all jacked up but my eyes look like i just did my makeup when I use Urban Decay Primer Potion with MAC Blacktrack.
I love you.
And for the record, I don't like the Mary Kay primer or pencils at all. I still run and smudge with it. Especially at the outer corners.0 -
