    Maybe the OP is an introvert, maybe he has had negative experience approaching woman, maybe he lacks confidence but what I see is he is reaching out for support and backing him into a corner making him feel less than isn't kind.. this is something that we all experience, he was just brave enough too share..I encourage you too face you fears and take a chance at asking for a #.

    Don't listen to these people. You're a stud and all those women are avoiding you because you're clearly a success and they're jealous. This is MFP so your personality or physical features are never the problem here.

    I would say what you need to do is work on your body a little bit to be LESS attractive (I know it sounds crazy but girls LOVE it). Maybe institute a couple more cheat days into your diet? Stop pumping up those awesome pecs and biceps you got going there and just focus on pilates.

    I've noticed girls who only like shopping and clubbing tend to go for guys who's main hobbies are working out among other sports, maybe that's why you're attracting that type. In order to find different types of girls you really do have to try different places like everyone is suggesting. You do have reading on your side, branch out? Join a book club? Try something that isn't your typical "macho" activity and you'll find different girls. My friends and I are into books and video games and science and have super ambitious goals (even if we do like shopping too,) but then again I do go to an engineering school. We hang out at a) libraries b)university events c) class. The inside of a gym is a foreign land in which I am powerless and do not venture.

    In short, if you want nerd girls, go to nerd places. We're interesting. :drinker: :glasses:

    Going out and doing things that relate to your goals and hobbies is a great way to meet people. I met my SO while I was performing at an AIDS benefit.

    I met mine in a human sexuality class.........ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    Maybe you are not interested in meeting numerous girls, maybe you are looking for someone for a relationship, and you know that typically, the superficial conversations at random locations don't really lead to relationships, so you shut it all down in favor of waiting to meet the right one.

    this post is kinda funny and interesting. Man, ya gotta just walk up and initiate a conversation. I actually understand what you're saying about goals and all that and have had similar experiences but without really talking to some of these women maybe they just enjoy clubbing and whatnot and actually do have other goals besides that. Just cause they're checking you out don't mean they want to do more then just that. They may just think that you have no goals yourself

    As far as 35+ women, hell man...there are many just on MFP who are amongst the most beautiful women i've ever seen in my life and work hard, have goals and aspirations and are just all around sweet

    thing is, 99% of the girls that are into the "good" hobbies dont take care of them selves. yes i would LOVE to find someone you describe, but i have not found any that are that into good hobbies. But i agree with you 100%
