Observation: Anyone on here drink cow milk?

I love dairy products. I consume the milk of the goat and the sheep too. I'm gluten intolerant. Cheese, yogurt, and milk are delicious things I can eat.0

I don't drink a lot of cow dairy, because too much bothers my stomach. But I do drink 4 oz of cow dairy after working out. I read a study that suggested that a SMALL glass of chocolate milk can be a great recovery drink after cardio, and I've found that it works for me. (I keep it to 4 oz and use homemade chocolate syrup, and of course make sure that I burn more calories in the workout than I take back in with the milk!) It may not work for everyone, and might work just as well with soy or almond milk. I have found that it both gives me a little boost after working out and satisfies my out of control sweet tooth . We also eat cow dairy yogurt and cow dairy cheese around here, too, and I sometimes use fat free half and half in my coffee if I run out of soy creamer and can't make it to a Sprouts to pick some up (my regular grocery doesn't carry soy creamer).
We do try to stick with organic cow dairy, or at the very least dairy from cows not treated with rGBH.0 -
The main thing is to stay away from bull's milk. :drinker:0

I don't drink cow's milk but instead drink coconut milk. It is a lot healthier. I did read once the scenario that said, "imagine an adult sucking from the teat of a cow" it is JUST wrong. Milk is for babies. When they worded it like that, it just grossed me out from ever drinking cow's milk again. Anyway, I never liked the taste anyway, but would tolerate it on cereal, etc before I found coconut milk. Almond milk is good too.0

Yeah, I drink cow's milk and other dairy products (sometimes more frequently than other times). I also use coconut milk for a lot of things.0

I drink it at least once a day. I go for the 2%. I have no bad effects from it whatsoever. Guess I'm just lucky!0

I was raised on cow's milk and still drink it - either 2% or 1% (I won't drink skim because it's gross or whole because it's too fatty). Yes it has fat and some sugar but it also has protein, calcium, vitamins and nutrients. I've tried soy and almond milk and while they're okay in oatmeal or coffee, I don't like them as a drink. I drink a small glass of milk with my breakfast every day.0

I drink copious amounts of cows milk.0

I noticed, as I have been snooping people's food diaries, that most drink alternative milk sources, like almond or soy. I myself don't drink cow's milk, as I'm lactose sensitive, but what about others? Does anyone drink cow milk anymore? Is it taboo or not trendy anymore? Is it unhealthy? What about organic cow milk? I'd love to hear your reasons? And want to hear from those who drink cow milk!
I do ~ Nestle's Carnation Evaporated Milk for my coffee and/or my English tea.0 -
I use whole milk in my coffee and tea, but i sometimes forget to log it in my diary since it's just a lil' splash.0

My favourite source of cow's milk is direct from source ~ mainly buttermilk or as is my practice ~ the essential powdered buttermilk in my kitchen ~ a habitual thing.0 -
:drinker: I drink Fat Free Cow's Milk. I tried Soy Milk, but it was WAAY Too Sweet for me. I have not tried any of the Nut Milks yet, but I may do it sometime.0

Plain old skim (non fat) cow's milk for me. In cooking, on cereal or on its own . Started drinking skim milk as a (fat) kid and liked it a lot - still do. My biggest challenge is to remember that it's food with calories - not water to chugged by the liter.0
-
I drink whole milk because I likes my dairy and I likes it full of fat. It's hard for me to care about the calories because it is that delish.0
-
dairy products are a gift from God, and the ones with full fat? yep, even those.0
-
I drink organic whole cow milk. Its an amazing drink!
I'm still trying to imagine an inorganic half cow.
Not a big fan of milk taste but about 25-30% of my protein comes from dairy products of all sorts (without even counting whey powder)...0 -
I do I do!
Sometimes I'll have almond milk instead because it's lower in calories. I have nothing against regular milk though.0 -
I drink milk, but Im slowly cutting it out as I go vegan. . .
Soy and almond milk are great alternatives to milk. Rice milk is also good but can be a little sweet!0 -
Yep! 2% on my cereal and baking.0
-
I would if I wasn't so severely intolerant to it..0
-
Whole milk - never skim - as it still has all it's essential fats and vitamins and minerals.
I could eat cheese til the cows come home.0 -
I've tried almond milk and even when laced with chocolate flavouring it's still rank. Homemade might be nicer but I don't have the patience to fiddle about like some sort of pioneer woman. If I drink plain milk it's soy because I don't like the aftertaste that comes from cow's milk. But I wouldn't bake with soy milk or put it in coffee.0

I have it in cereal but don't eat that anymore after I had a mold infection from bad branflakes.. I dont like cheese, I dont like yougurt, and I dont like cream so I have it pretty easy not having it having its not a restriction, i will have it if I want, just my diet doesnt include it0

Always drank 2% fat milk and always will. Full of great nutirents that the body needs.0

I prefer cow's milk. I don't drink it like I used to (my parents threatened to buy a cow!) as I usually drink water. BUT, I use it in my oatmeal and for anything else I need it for.0
-
I drink whole raw milk from a local farmer. Taste is amazing and none of us have died from it.0
-
I drink whole milk, but usually not by itself. I use it mostly in coffee or cereal. Never understood why people are willing to pay the same for 2% milk as I do for whole milk (3.25%). If I want 2% milk, I can always water down the whole milk myself.0
-
I add cow's milk (Organic 2%) every day to my cereal, coffee and eat yogurt which I make it home. I am not going to give up on that.0
