Fat Flush Water?
Saw this on Facebook this morning and thought I'd share. I'm not sure about the fat flushing, but I'm all for adding flavor to my water.
FAT FLUSH WATER !!!
This drink was featured on The Biggest Loser along with other weight loss tips...
You should drink at least three 8 oz glasses per day, they say the longer it sits, the better it tastes. You can eat them as well but they are intended as flavoring and still work, so that is a personal choice. The Vitamin C turns fat into fuel, the tangerine increases your sensitivity to insulin, and the cucumber makes you feel full. Try it for 10 days and see what you think!
Ingredients per 8 oz serving
Water
1 slice grapefruit
1 tangerine
½ cucumber, sliced
2 peppermint leaves
Ice – as much as you like
Directions
Wash grapefruit, tangerine cucumber and peppermint leaves. Slice cucumber, grapefruit and tangerine (or peel). Combine all ingredients (fruits, vegetables, 8 oz water, and ice) into a large pitcher.
Stir & Enjoy!

I've done something similar to this called sassy water. Per 2L of water: 1 sliced lemon, 1 small cucumber sliced, some ginger and mint leaves. Let it steep over night in the fridge and drink the whole thing everyday. Not sure if it actually does a fat flush like it says its supposed to, but it tastes good!0

This is the first I hear if it. Sounds interesting! Will look into it.0

Just wondering if it really works ?0

It's crap. Eat the fruit and drink the regular water. You'll get more nutrition that way.0

Wait, wasn't there an 8 page thread about this drink that just got deleted?0

yep... looks like we're gonna do it again ...
meh... I can't be bothered :yawn:0 -
My neighbor jumped on the sassy water bandwagon and made me try it. It tasted horrible and whatever magic she was hoping to get from it didn't happen so it fell by the wayside like many other trendy diet tips.0

Yea, what happened there? It was just getting interesting. Did the Mickey Mouse patrol swoop in and save the day again as usual?0 -

This is the first I hear if it. Sounds interesting! Will look into it.
How it works is this:
It makes you drink more water because it tastes delicious. End.
Drink more water, hold onto less water weight. Sounds counter intuitive. The more you drink, the less water you hold onto.
Doesn't remove fat, but the scale may go down.0 -

I tested this theory - i.e. flushing water weight with water and it does work. Two Fridays ago I was 181 and felt like I was not releasing water..drank A LOT of water - talking pissing like a race horse lol - and today when I weighed in was like 176.5 so that is about five pounds in two weeks..but it is all water weight not fat...so just drink water and save your money ..or save yourself from drinking some nasty concoction..0 -
I'd rather drink unsweetened peppermint tea. That sounds so nasty!! Maybe the flush stands for a new way to 'clean' a plugged up toilet..0

Oh, sure it's like magic. Eat a whole pizza and just drink this magic water, and it makes all those extra calories disappear. That's why everyone has been doing it for years and losing lots of weight. But it's a secret, don't tell anyone.0

For some reason, this made me think of Olestra. Maybe it was the word flush.
My husband used to work in a spa and they made stuff like this all the time for clients to sip. They never claimed it was for weight loss, just froo-froo spa stuff.
I wish losing weight was that easy. I'd be healthy again 10 years ago.0 -
Be careful! That stuff really is magic. A friend of mine drank it and she turned into a bloke, penis and everything. Wait...that was lifting heavy. Sorry. I tend to get all the bollocks mixed up. This stuff you mention will not turn you into a bloke, but there is a very high probability that you will turn into a carrot and get eaten by a hangry vegan, and that's bad too. Good luck, future carrot.

Think about it for a second. Logically. If this really worked, don't you think it would be the leading headline in every media outlet in the world?
There is no secret. Eat at a moderate calorie deficit and exercise. You can do this without relying on bull**** gimmicks as a crutch, and really, won't you get more satisfaction out of doing it that way?0 -
Just wondering if it really works ?
NO.
but it might taste nice.0 -
If you like fruit-infused water, then by all means, drink it! But, don't expect it to flush fat out of you, as that is never going to happen.0
-
fat flush my fat heiny lol
infused waters are great. especially if you have a pop/soda addiction - they're a great replacement. but that's it.
"No magic pill.
No special shake (or water).
No secret diet.
Just get off your *kitten*"
:huh:0 -
It's not a magic formula....but making water infused with flavors you like is not a bad thing to do if it helps you enjoy the act of drinking the water you might not otherwise drink......BTW....maybe someday I will actually come across a topic that doesn't bring out the negative rude people who have nothing better to do than rant and rave in an effort to prove something.......Sadly what they DO prove to me is probably not what they THINK they are proving in their post.....0
-
This actually works. If you drink it before, during, or after a workout. And eat at a moderate deficit.0
