Pop tarts are a fail.......I bake. I make my own ice cream too, but I will say that I have a real liking for Hagan Das rocky road.

I wish we had these flavours in the UK! I've only ever tried chocolate and strawberry.

Went to Big Lots the other day and scored Pumpkin Pie and Gingerbread Pop-Tarts in 12-count boxes (oddly, different prices: Pumpkin Pie was $1.30 and Gingerbread $2.00). They didn't have the Red Velvet ones but...sorry...I got them a few weeks ago at my usual grocery store and just didn't think they were all that.

Did you try the Red Velvet cold? They're the only flavor that I don't like either way. They HAVE to be cold.

I don't think my father, the inventor of Toaster Strudels, would be too pleased to hear about this.

Interesting! No, I didn't try them cold, just toasted. They were so sweet I HAD to put butter on them, which is usually optional. I mean, I made it through the box, but wasn't inclined to try them again.

But we do have Blue Bell Red Velvet ice cream in the fridge, so I could pick up another box and try the combination...

Thank God I don't like Poptarts! Ice cream.......howeever is a different story. I would love to have a great big bowl with nuts and chocolate fudge!

However, I think I will go have a sugar free fudgescicles instead.

That was my problem with them toasted! Too sweet! Try them cold, whole different story.

Pop tart hoarding aside, shouldn't you be committed anyway?

I haven't had pop tarts since I was a kid. One of my co-workers said they aren't as good as he remembers them. Everything tastes better when you're a child? :P

Still... in light of this new post, I'm gonna go buy some!
