Maybe instead of griping about yummy food posts, the OP could go to the gym, work out, and gain some extra calories for the day.

Yummy foods make me happy :)
  • you know that you can just unfriend people, right? or not go into the "pics of absolutely delicious food" threads?
I, for one, love when my friends talk about their awesome foods, whether they fit them into their calories or NOT. if they did, hurray! if not, at least they are aware of it thanks to mfp, and will either rectify the situation with exercise or bask in their overage and do better in the future.
and I happen to be one of those people that talks about incredible food. and most of it I cook from cooking light recipes, so they fit in perfectly.
chillax a little; it'll get you far

    really?
no one wants to look at this lady's diary and offer something constructive? :frown:
she's HANGRY peeps, have a heart.

Did you look at her diary? She goes over most days and has take out almost every day.

and I'm not judging her food choices but,if she's not adding exercise,I'm not really sure why she is "hangry"

Yes, I did....and maybe because she feels deprived, frustrated and like she's never going to get anywhere.
I know the feeling. Not lately, but I do know the feeling.

I peeked at your food diary, please don't take this the wrong way, but I'd be cranky too if I were on a 1200 cal diet and went over every day consistently :flowerforyou: And it's not even by a lot either, so you probably feel like you're not doing well either. I get it.

First of all, it's simply not enough food for a person to survive on. It sounds like you've got the 'hangries' (angry+hungry). I know I'd be hella hangry if I tried to stay within that limit.

Can we maybe help you figure out how to work the program rather than letting it work you over? Some stats would be a great place to start. Even better, search the phrase 'in place of a roadmap' & follow directions. :flowerforyou:

My day was pretty yummy! And even included bear claw icecream, which i actually measured out!

I'm sorry I was too distracted to even read the rest of the posts after that....BEAR CLAW ICE CREAM? Seriously, where can I get some of that???? I still have 448 calories left today and I want some!

    Sorry,missed that qoute.

My feeling is that you can learn to make a lot of yummy foods at home that are a lot more filling and satisfying then anything that Hardees can make. And with a lot less sodium.

Cant you talk about your strength when you said No to seconds.

I always say NO to seconds.

Because I'm too busy moving on to thirds and fourths.
Neither count thou two, unless thou proceedeth to three.

Really? I eat yummy food every day. And I lose weight. It's not about dieting, it's about lifestyle. Are going to deprive yourself from the things you enjoy for life? I'm not.

lifestyle is the key. I am learning that if I am strict with myself all the time, I have failure in my future. Little by little I am learning that I can allow myself the occasional treat/meal and taste. The key is--not all the time. Food is supposed to be yummy. In fact my baggies of fresh broccoli are yummy, and I actually crave my morning grapefruit that I peel like an orange and eat.

I love food and just make sure to fit the food I like into my calories every day. If I deprive myself, I'll end up overeating. As others said, cut back on the takeout and add more exercise in so you can enjoy more of what you like.

@Tyler... You suck... that is all. ;)

With a little planning you can have yummy food too. I have a fairly low goal (I eat about 1450-1500 to lose weight, 1760 to maintain) and I manage to fit all kinds of deliciousness into it. Just figure out which foods are most important for you to have. Set yourself a reasonable calorie goal. And eat back your exercise calories. :flowerforyou:

I guess it depends on what you consider "Yummy".

I used to think greasy, salty, mega sized meals were yummy. I haven't thought that way in five years. Now yummy means: veggies, olive oil, grilled fish, chicken breast, lean steak, protein shakes of all kinds of concoctions, almond butter, baked potatoes totally naked, etc.

These things are yummy to me now.

So what foods are you finding so offensive? The good foods we should all be consuming or the heart attack on a plate foods you are really wanting?

To be fair, they were baked potato chips and fat free (and low cal) cool whip. The Hardees I am confused on, especially a couple days in a row. Hardees is one of the worst of the worst as far as fast food goes. We don't have any of them around here but I used to live in the South and they're all over.

Food temptation is all around us. It's up to us what we put in our mouths. Every TV show has food commercials, every newspaper, signs on the roads, restaurants everywhere! You cant use that as an excuse to not eat right. The burden falls squarely on our shoulders what we do with our daily caloric intake.

What the most of has done, is learned to eat in moderation and make modifications to what we previously ate. I still eat out but not every day like I used to and not the same things. I exercise but I dont record it here as I keep my own spreadsheet for that.

Actually if you visit the recipe section here you will find some awesome recipes that are healthy and quite yummy. I made a 2-ingredient cake tonite, canned pure pumpkin and spice cake mix. At 24 servings, it's 93 calories and yes I just ate a piece. Is it a decadent hot fudge mess, no, but it's good!

If we are going to make this a lifestyle change, we have to be able to eat foods that we consider yummy. Otherwise we are setting ourselves up for failure.

My downfall is pizza and I mean the whole pizza. I learned how to make a 300 calorie pizza using Flatout Flat Bread and I can eat the whole thing which is about the size of a medium pizza. Now I can still eat pizza everyday and not starve myself to just be able to eat 1 or 2 slices.

No. No way did I just read that? You have the option to read or not to read.
I don't go to Long John Silver's and ***** about someone enjoying pop tarts and ice cream or having a burger. WTH!?
Make better choices, don't blame others for your choices, and stop eating fast food crap!
Put the chips, fried food, sodium enriched cod sandwiches down, and eat better.

I remember seeing a broccoli pizza crust somewhere on here. I would love the recipe to that.
