You would hate to have me as a friend. This weekend I went to a 5 course dinner party, and I uploaded pictures of each course with descriptions for all my MFPals to enjoy vicariously. It was Italian food, too.0
-
yeah, that is the one. I just am not sure how much broccoli to do with it.0
-
I'm sorry honey. Thankfully my friends have no issues with it.0

My downfall is pizza and I mean the whole pizza. I learned how to make a 300 calorie pizza using Flatout Flat Bread and I can eat the whole thing which is about the size of a medium pizza. Now I can still eat pizza everyday and not starve myself to just be able to eat 1 or 2 slices.
I remember seeing a broccoli pizza crust somewhere on here. I would love the recipe to that.
Is this possibly the recipe you were asking about? http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/885640-who-needs-cauliflower-broccoli-pizza-crust-with-pic?hl=broccoli+pizza+crust

I love food, I love exercise, I workout my balance between the two & enjoy my lifestyle.
Just out of curiosity, why are you eating a Think Thin bar with breakfast & other breakfast items? The bar is supposed to be a meal supplement for those who need a boost in calories, protein & carbs along with a healthy (and vigorous) exercise plan. When I ate those things along with other stuff, yes, I gained weight. Cut out the Think Thin bars, the fast food and the other "fat free" or "low fat" stuff, cut out the canned sodium laden foods & you will discover that you really can eat yummy foods & live a healthy, guilt-free lifestyle. You will also discover your willpower & be able to resist what you think is a yummy food & discover that it really isn't so yummy as you think.0 -
I forgot! I'm supposed to be miserable because I'm losing weight, and I can't eat anything I enjoy or that isn't completely "healthy" (whatever your individual view of that term may be). I can't possibly be averaging a steady 1.5 pounds a week, which just happens to be my exact target, while eating something sweet every single day.
Oh wait, I am.
If I wasn't eating yummy food, I wouldn't be able to stick to my new eating plans for the rest of my life. I'm not here just to "diet" for two months. If you are that cranky about what other people eat, perhaps you are just hungry.0 -
Today is National Oatmeal Cookie Day and this week is American Chocolate Week! Let's celebrate!!!0

It's my mission to eat nothing BUT yummy foods!
Healthy doesn't have to mean bland. And yummy doesn't have to mean extravagant.
You are just so awesome!!! Amen Sista.
To the OP, I don't lke hearing people beat themselves up over what they ate either. If you eat something, please ENJOY it, it is a wonderful part of life. Maybe your calorie goals are too low and there's no room for enjoyment? If so, check out the Eat More to Weigh Less Group, Cheers!0 -
I'm guessing this is not the response the OP was hoping for.0

Here is what the OP said on the second page: I am the suckiest of all sucky people when it comes to measuring my cooking, but if I were to guess (and yes, the original idea was in the link that someone posted a few posts up, is it was about a cup of broccoli, 1/2 cup mexican shredded cheese (this is where the yellow came in because I only used egg whites) and 2 egg whites.
Hope this helps.0 -

Here it is, along with some modifications from other folks commenting in the thread.

I love cooking and post my food pics, share recipes and have fun with it. It's a lifestyle change. I don't agree with those that eat bad constantly and complain and wonder why they aren't losing weight. But often it's a cry for support. It's all about balance all around! MIND BODY AND SOUL ! This is our temple, treat it as such!;)
Happy journey, Shan Atl0 -
OP:
We, the general community, are not to blame for your food choices. I'm sorry that a great many of us understand how to plan out delicious meals accordingly, and manage to lose weight doing exactly that.
You're getting a LOT of feedback here that you're just going to likely ignore because people are "mean"... but the thing is, they're calling you out on what you need to be called out on.
Yes, in your defense such and such, baked and blah blah...
but it doesn't have to be that way. Figure out how much you should eat, and stay away from Hardees. My steak was delicious tonight. You'd certainly find no love for this guy since I brag about my meals often.. and tend to include photos.
This is like a bad break-up letter, but really, it's not us that is to blame.0 -
Brenn, there is a message board for recipes. I hate to think of you suffering on 1200 calories a day, which I know is no fun, and not even getting to eat something that tastes good to you.
On the plus side, if you're down to losing that last 10 pounds, you've already done a great job.0 -

My modification used an entire 16 oz bag of frozen organic broccoli florets, thawed, drained, and finely chopped. When I make it, I use 4 whole eggs. I will NEVER throw a wonderful yolk away! I added 1/4 cup of parmesan, some pizza seasoning, and a bit of freshly ground pepper and sea salt to it too. This made enough crust for 8 large pieces of pizza, so halve it if you don't like leftover pizza. I DO!
Toppings would be whatever you like on your pizza.0 -
learning that I can eat all kinds of yummy food and still lose a whole lot of weight is one of the most valuable things I have learned from MFP.0
-
i think your 1200 calorie limit is the problem, maybe you could add another 200? i didn't see any exercise in your diary and i'm wondering if its because you have some kind of health issue that prevents you from working out, anyway congrats on the 17 lb weight loss and good luck to you. :flowerforyou:0

thank you. gives me some measurements to go with0 -
There was a study about people that ate dessert with breakfast doing better on their diet. Think it increased compliance because they got a treat. You have to include things you love, but if you emphasize cooking your own food from real food ingredients, you will have the calorie wiggle room for full fat ice cream (actually delicious and satisfying) or whatever it is you LOVE instead of weird processed fake whipped cream.0

Ahem. Excuse me while I go eat some ice cream.0

There is nothing wrong with enjoying good food, as long as it fits within your calories. I love seeing people's posts about that sort of thing, because I sometimes get inspiration for recipe ideas, including trying to come up with healthier or lower-calorie versions of things.0

Because I am supportive, I would like to ask you to kindly look away from these kinds of foods. Don't look. I repeat, DO NOT LOOK!
