Cortlands. (<---- dawnj87, maybe these are your ME apples? I got them in NH.)

In dire straits, Granny Smith or Macs.

These rose apples. I don't know that they're even apples, but in Jamaica they are so - they are.

And it wasn't even a MINNESOTA grown HONEYCRISP. The Honeycrisp was developed by the University of Minnesota to be grown in specific soil. They didn't enforce that, so the ones from MN taste best. In answer to that situation, they created the SWEETANGO, which is even better and is only allowed to be grown in its ideal soil! Another great MN apple is the ZESTAR. The growing season for the last two is way too short!

    Honeycrisp handsdown

Oh damn. I don't know all that healthy stuff. They are just effin delicious.

My fiance brought back some honeycrisps from his mom's place in Vermont. I'm an apple lover, but I still couldn't fathom how an apple could taste THAT awesomely good.

Honeycrisp. I only eat apples when those are in season.

I heard a dad at the grocery store tell his kids that Red Delicious apples taste like yuck. Made me lol.

    Aren't they all healthy?

My favorite is Jonagold. I don't like apples that are too sweet.

Jazz. Absolutely perfect. Fujis or Galas are Yum too. We use red delicious where I work....I keep trying to get them to change that....they have no flavor and mushy texture. They're just pretty.

Honeycrisp, Gala, or Grannysmith for me. I love McIntosh too, but they have to be fresh and crisp. I don't do mushy.
