    Definately Pink Lady or Granny Smith, although the apples I used to get from MAINE when I was little seemed to be the best but I don't know what kind they were. I just know we could find them anywhere along the roads where there were orchards.


    Where in Maine? I could probably tell you exactly which kind (My home state- lived all over Maine all my life!)

    I really like red delicious and pink lady but I'm happy with a macintosh or spartan as well. I like apples.

    I agree on the yellow! According to the calorie counter braeburn is the least caloric. I bought them for a while now I am back to yellow, I feel I've earned it.
