I have been meaning to post this thread for a while but never got around to it.

What do you sound like MFP? Don't be shy, let loose with a snippet of your accent and give a voice to yourself.
Using the magic of Vocaroo (Google it noob!) record a small hello and post it up.
I'll go first as I have no shame. I know I sound like a complete gimp, although I will do requests if anyone has anything intersting to read and fancies me making an utter tit out of myself!

wow. that really IS nothing like I thought you would...

This is a wonderful idea! Thanks for sharing! I'm not going to do mine because I sound strikingly similar to the woman from Kentucky, timbre and everything.

OP, you have the most wonderful voice EVER. So soothing! Would you please record yourself reading the phone book or something so I can listen to it when I'm having a panic attack? K thanks.

ETA I think "tit" means something different there than it does here. HAHA! And using it together with the word "utter" (udder). OMG. I'm dying.

    I love this idea.

Also, Martin you are awesome, and if any more of you are from Ireland or Scotland, please...PLEASE...do one! They are two of my favorite accents! Haha. Men or women, it doesn't matter...I'm instantly drawn in and enthralled/slightly jealous. If I could choose to have any foreign accent, it would be one of those two, haha. French would be a distant third.

ETA: I can come back in a bit and do my own...can't really do it at the moment. Although, I hate even leaving voicemails, so I'm sure I will be as awkward as can be, lol.

Please know that an accent like that has panty melting abilities here in the USA.

SWEET! Thank you! Mass Effect is kind of my life right now. Ha! And seriously - the accent....THE ACCENT! I worked at a Renaissance Fair once (the US's attempt to bring the Ren Age right onto American soil) and so had to fake an English accent. I was so terrible at it! There was a couple actually from England and they couldn't stop laughing, lol.

Eh, Martin takes that vote for me...

My husband use to work with a man from Ireland, John... I think the hubs was slightly jealous, because every time John would talk, I was completely mesmerized.
