I think with all of the yard work that I have to do I am going for a workout record today. (Of course, it helps when the riding mower breaks down the day before you have invited a group over for a picnic, and your yard is nearly 1 1/2 acres.) So far I have logged 200 minutes, 1828 calories burned, and I am still going strong. I have downed 64 oz. of water. I'm in for a 15 minute break before starting again, and I just informed my husband (who unfortunately hurt his back last night trying to fix the lawn tractor) that we are going out to eat tonight, and I am ordering whatever I want! Everyone have a great May Day!

Way to go you guys! You are soooooo doing this! I have had a great Skinny Saturday. Cooking a healthy dinner of perch and veges. Drank more water than I usually do and I am still thirsty! Yeah! One more walk to get in and I will call it a day...a SKINNY day that is. Wish me luck hopping on Mr. Scale. He has been stubborn lately. If it doesn't budge I coming over to Mary's or Alice's house to work next Saturday! That should do it! A++++++++++++++ to all!
    Happy May Day! :flowerforyou:
(Alice, you are lucky to have such a friend! Very sweet! AND...she is lucky to have you as a friend. )

Hey all you Skinnies! I'm down 40 oz water so far. No work out yet, but am really hoping to. I'm babysitting all day (have been since last night). So along with my almost-3-y/o, I have an 8 month old today. Gym childcare is now closed so I can't do that (had a bday party this morning to go to), but I may do 30 day shred while the girls are sleeping and then some pilates tonight. I'll def. need something to relax me at that point!
For those of you with more than one kid: how do you do it?! I've been "putting out fires" all morning! Don't get me wrong, we've been having so much fun playing, but man, I am pooped! I thought I was struggling with taking care of my daughter since my hubby went overseas, but I found last night and today that I have been mistaken... I have the utmost respect for single mothers and now even more so for the single moms with more than one.

Hats off to you and all moms who are doing this alone by choice or circumstancs. Is your hubby military? My son is~Army! :blushing: I am so proud of him! You should proud of yourself for sneaking in some exercise today! I don't know how you did!!! Good job my friend!

I didn't do too well today. I've had 12 glasses of water which is good, but I only did the 30 day shred. I was at about 800 cals by dinner time tonight (was too busy to eat!), and at dinner time I was at the church, so I picked up Zaxby's on my way home :embarassed: . I'm under my calroies, for what it's worth. And toted a baby all day, and chased mine too. Does that count?

Good morning everyone. Well I got my morning aerobics done and about to jump on the treadmill and see how many miles I can do before I have to get ready for the bbq. On a happy note, I found out that the park its at has a walking trail, so I'm gonna see if I can sneak away for awhile to check that out. AND I WILL BE GOOD AND LOG EVERYTHING! I'll check in later tonite.

Good luck everyone and have an excellent Skinny Saturday!:flowerforyou:

Thanks for the encouragement. He is an Army vet who is now in Iraq as a contractor. He's been gone almost 7 months and will be gone about another year. I'm used to it now and pretty much am running on autopilot until he gets home again. I miss him like crazy though! And am SO exhausted now!!!

I so want to commit to SSC....gonna post it with the intention of giving it everything I got.
So much to do, so much mess to undo! And all I want to do is stay in my PJs manana.....

totally beat this week.....cleared out the entire upstairs, way too many books and files....most I just lugged into the garage, so to start there. I so just want to dump them, but I can't get myself to tear myself from them! luggage/baggage...???!!

Yikes & we had pizza tonight! I had only the one, but that's bec' I had a dozen hot wings! w/blue cheese, to boot!

I'm really gonna push myself to exercise...etc.
o.k. I can't get up off the sofa....cleared out another ton of books and files, but not the typical "gym" workout I so badly need.
Another slice of pizza for lunch, but nothing else....ate it all last night!

Sorry no double today! But ya know.....I'm lots better at Super Skinny Sundays!!!!!!

I think I made it with the concrete again today. Two yards! Then we went shopping and bought some more shrubs for the back yard. My hubby dug the holes for them, but the bending to put them in & cover them back up was hard after the concrete work. (I don't know how he had the energy to dig the holes.) With the wind blowing here today I was feeling dehydrated before we even started working. I've drunk 9 glasses of water and two of juice and I'm still thirsty.

Final workout report (because I can't stand up to mow any more!)
This is what my status now says: burned 2815 calories doing 290 minutes of cardio exercises, including "Mowing lawn, general"

I have had 104 oz of water so far, and usually I struggle to drink 40. I will call today a success. Happy Saturday, all!

    Amazing Mary!!!!!!:<}
  • I must say I think I did pretty darn good. It was very hard not to have a burger or the ribs, but I went for the grilled chicken and loaded up from the veggie tray. And when my son got fussy l plopped him in the stroller and walked around the park trail. It was a 1/8 mile long, so we went around 8 times:bigsmile:

Hope everyone had a good day:happy:

Hi everyone! Sorry I didn't get to check in yesterday. I did fairly well, though.

I did two cardio workouts before work and at work there was a LOT of rearranging of plants and displays to do. (We have a new manager and, thank goodness, she is going to get things right!)

After work I did more work in my vegetable garden and in the yard in general, helped clean the downstairs, went grocery shopping and then fixed a chicken stirfry with my DD for supper!

I was SO tired by then that I couldn't see straight and I even went to bed before 9.

I drank lots of water. I just didn't have the energy to get online. (You've got to be pretty tired when the thought of typing sounds like too much work!)

I hope everyone did well and I hope to join you all on Wednesday.

No, I WILL be joining you on Wednesday!
