100 pounds gone! With pic!

This week, I finally reached 100 pounds gone from my highest recorded weight, which was 269. On Friday, I weighed in at 168.4. I still have about 25 pounds left until my goal weight, but I know I can do it. I've come so far. While I am definitely proud of myself, seeing the numbers, I'm still having a lot of personal problems with accepting the changes in my body, and actually SEEING changes sometimes. It's very frustrating. But as a friend told me, I spent my whole life being overweight, and seeing THAT as myself. It's going to take a while to adjust to my new self.... Here's my comparison pic: a 2004 picture of me at my highest recorded weight (I weighed higher at one point but never really wanted to know), and then a picture taken today.

If I can do it, YOU can do it. Seriously. If anyone had told me a year ago I'd be this far down, I'd have laughed in their face. But I did it. I am doing it. New friends always welcome!

    You look so happy. Looking in the mirror and being honest about ourselves- at the high weight and at the low- would be so very helpful. Several years ago I did lose to the correct range for my weight but I still shopped the big sizes. This way of life is all about acceptance and honesty. Great job you are doing.
