Run/walked 10K this evening testing my new HRM strap.
The soft garmin strap I was using was giving erratic HR readings including drops, spikes and other funkiness. I tried watering the strap, licking it, applying ultrasound gels, running in cotton shirts to avoid static electricity build-up, repositioning the strap without any luck. The thing was driving me crazy. Turns out that the solution was to snap the Garmin ANT transmitter on a cheap Polar strap and presto! the readings were flawless :happy:
