my poor kitty is chaffed
So, to allow both myself and my kitty to get some exercise, I've started putting a leash on her and taking her for a walk. Well, I should say, I walk and my kitty drags on the ground.
I've been getting lots of cars honking at me while going on these walks, and now my poor kitty is chaffed. I've tried lotion, and ointment, but for some reason it keeps getting licked off and the facial expression I see is that it doesn't taste good. Are there any other edible options out there to ease the soreness of my poor chaffed kitty?

Olive oil is suppose to be good for you.
Plus it will help when you drag your kitty across the ground.0 -

Cool whip?
Is there a healthier alternative? I'm afraid there would be lots more licking going on if I put Cool Whip on my kitty.

Just pet your kitty. Give your kitty some love. maybe a little Utter Butter might help.0

Glycerin-based lubricants are ingestible. I hear.0

Cool whip?
This sounds like the best course of action to me.0 -
Try putting catnip in your pockets and going for a jog instead of just dragging your kitty.
Obviously, the cat doesn't enjoy it and you might find yourself in trouble with the law if people get offended.0 -

I like the olive oil idea, and for prevention, have you tried buckling her to a skateboard for your walks?0

Your kitty is being distracted by all the extra sights and sounds, Put an e-collar on, this will prevent distractions and will also prevent licking off the ointments.0

Excuse me, the whole point of this post was about improving the cat's fitness.
Anything that doesn't have the cat moving under its own power is not going to improve the cat's fitness.0 -

Yes pics or it didn't happen :laugh:0 -
maybe you just need to find an activity that is more interesting for your kitty....get creative with your kitty's exercise. We have a place in town that offers Pole Dancing for exercise. Maybe that would be more fun for your kitty??0

Which ones are bad? Dragging a cat is more about the cat being obstinate. If it was actually hurting it, the cat would defend itself. Or at least, walk.0 -
let the kitty rest in a warm place, play with the kitty softly, then you and your kitty may need a nap. send video.0

Maybe gentlely hug it and sing, "Soft kitty, Warm kitty, Little ball of fur. Happy kitty, Sleepy kitty, Purr, purr, purr."
And then maybe it lick it a few times for good measure.0
