    was up .4 today. no worries.

    saw new endocrinologist yesterday. really liked her. she switched my meds. she said one of the benefits of the new one is weight loss. man gee whiz, what a terrible benefit. said one of her patients lost 10#s in one week. i wouldn't mind that at all. now if i can get the insurance straight. it needs pre-authorization from the doctor that i need it. hope i don't pay more. it's shots, so gave myself my first one this morning. DH was watching me and said it looked like i had been doing it for years.

    nothing on the calendar for today, just house cleaning and laundry.

    LOL ... im pushing through girls..... i knew i was going to be up ..... but i want to post no matter what...... !!!! 268 .... and just friday morning i was 263......... FIVE LBS :explode: but i am feeling great, blood pressure perfect, exercising 5 times a week, getting firmer everywhere, yesterday i got all my water in .... and thank heavens its the day when all the fruits n veggies gets off the boat from FL ..... so i can go grocery shopping in the morning ..... and finally get some fresh veggies ..... !!!!!! sucks having to wait on the boat each week ! ...... but one of the joys of island life! hehe :flowerforyou:

    Hoping for a WAY better number next week.... weigh in next week will be on the 11th .... two days after my birthday ! :heart:

    amy(baha) can't you plant a garden? my peas are full of blooms. the rest is coming along slowly. real slow this year. we need rain bad.

    Im also going to try doing the MFP this week ... journalling.... doing calories..... AND try to get some cardio in ...... to balance out the strength moves in the FIRM WAVE.......

    so this week goals:

    1. H20
    2. Journal EVERYTHING in MFP
    3. MEASURE MEASURE MEASURE food
    4. get some sort of walking 10-30 minutes daily
    5. do my firm workouts

    Lets see how this works this week ! gotta keep changing it up ...... and find what works best !

    Cathy-- my family owns three farms, but because of the heat there are only certain things that are growing ..... and we have to wait for them to grow and ripen .... so some times in the year ... im overloaded with fresh cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, sweet peppers, sour orange, citrus fruits, etc..... but right now... hardly anything is ready so we have to rely on the grocery stores ! LOL ... Thats awesome about your peas in bloom ! XOXOX

    Oh my goodness girls! I am SOOOOO excited!!! Can't believe I lost another 3 pounds this week! Goes to show that when you work for it, you can see results!!! AND I finally re-measured my baby belly and I've lost an inch there! YAY!!! So, I have already gone below my goal for this challenge! Makes me TOTALLY happy! Would LOVE to break into the 160s by the end of this six weeks. That's another 4.5 pounds...I'm gonna work hard! "I think I can! I think I can!"

    Some goals for this week:
    -It's suppose to be cold and rainy starting tonight and thru Friday, so I'm thinking I'm going to need to get on the treadmill. That's always a challenge for me these days...so that's going to be my main goal this week. Any day I can't get outside to walk, I want to at least walk on the treadmill for a half hour.
    -Another goal is to get all my water in over the weekend...I'm never very good at that. I drink like a champ when I'm at work, but when I'm at home, not so much! This week I'm going to really make sure to get it all in when at home!

    Amy(baha) and Cathy....don't worry about the small gains. It happens to all of us. And it WILL come back off. You are both doing great and making healthy life-long changes, and that's all that matters. Keep it up and I'm sure you'll see smaller numbers next week!

    Last night was pretty good. I got in a lovely 2 mile walk with Kadence, did a few things outside, did my 15 minute Ab workout, and didn't over-eat! Hoping for another great day today!

    Meal plan:
    B-oatmeal, 1/2 c. skim milk, 2 c. coffee, 4 tbsp. sugar-free creamer
    S-trail mix bar, banana
    L-Sandwich thin with turkey, 1 oz. cheese, lettuce and mustard, baby carrots and light yogurt
    S-golden delicious apple
    D-Another leftover homemade meatloaf burger, either cup up and mixed into a green salad or on a bun with a side salad-haven't decided yet.
    S-2 reduced fat graham crackers with 4 tbsp. cool whip free

    Exercise plan:
    2 mile walk with Kadence, 15 minute lower body workout

    Hello ladies,

    Sorry it has been so long since my last post, but I am still here and chugging along. Gained 0.2 lbs so not to worried about it, but I need to get back on track and write down everything I am eating, I know that is where my downfall is right now. Sometimes I dont even know why I am eating.

    This week my mini goals are
    1. Track all food that goes in my mouth
    2. Drink my water everyday
    3. Get in at least 30 mins of excersice 5 out of the 7 days

    Congrats to Cathy way to go, and I hope the new meds work out for you, I understand the joys of having to take medication. I deal with epilepsy so usually with all meds there is the joys of weight gain. The one I am on currently does not have that as a side effect the first time in 5 years to not be on one with weight gain side effect. Yippee

    Amy - I would not worry about the gain, you are a workout fool and seem to be doing great with you new wave. Just remember to make sure you are eating enough to support you calories burned with you new excersice schedule. But you are doing great.

    On Chantix, day 4. Day 7 is the last day I can smoke. I'm gonna be a non-smoker really soon. Weight is back up to 161. Will work to bring it back down into the 150s but not too focused on weight right now. Working on quitting smoking, and then hitting the gym again. I'm happy-ish with my size but I need to TONE. I am flabby and dislike that very much. In another week, I'll be back to starting up running again.... smoke free. I think my exercise will take off from there, as will my weight control and loss again.

    kristin.....change your "i think i can" to ""i KNOW i can"" you are doing a great job.
    lauryn...doctor told me that smoking will do and is worse for your health than extra weight. and if you had to do one or the other spot smoking comes first, than weight.

    laundry going, ironing done. changed curtains in kitchen don't like, so will leave up until i get the old ones washed and ironed and back up.

    Lauryn...way to go on quitting smoking! That is HUGE!!! I've been smoke-free for almost three years now! You can do it!!! And yes...worry about one thing at a time...you can lose weight later!:happy:

    Had a great evening went to the gym with a friend and walked 3 miles on the treadmill which was nice. But we got to chat as well.

    Hoping to do better on my calories tomorrow but not going to beat myself up over it, I did get my goals in for today.

    Lauryn, awesome job on not smoking. That is a huge step in your health. Be kind to yourself and concentrate on one hurdle at a time. Sometimes weight loss and smoking don't go hand in hand for the first couple of weeks. But fortunately, we are in the fruit season, so fill up on watery fruits and maybe that will help.

    Felt so gross at the gym last night didn't even want to be there. My stomach was hard and distended. My wonderful hubby rubbed it for about 20 minutes with some oils, and I woke up feeling considerably better. My fourth month pregnant looking belly is now down to a 3 month, which is PTOM, I can tell because I have the munchies. But instead of reaching for the PB, I had some leftover grilled vegetables and it did the trick. Need to keep it under control as I am going to put on a bathing suit for the first time this season in two weeks. THINK THIN!!!

    Well...I had a great night again last night! Seems to be a trend these days and makes me really excited! Kadence and I went on another 2 mile walk. I did my 15 minute lower body workout. I indulged in a whole cup of ice cream (which I let Kadence try for the first time-she made some priceless faces!). And I still stayed under in calories for the day! YAY! And I peeked at the scale again this morning to make sure the lower number I saw yesterday was accurate, and it was! I was even LESS this morning!! Going to keep my numbers the same though...but makes me want to continue to do well so I can see an even smaller number next week! YAY FOR THE RETURN OF MY MOTIVATION!!!!!!!!!

    Here's the plan for today:
    B-oatmeal, 1/2 c. skim milk, 2 c. coffee, 4 tbsp. sugar-free creamer
    S-trail mix bar, banana
    L-turkey, 1 oz. cheese, honey mustard, and lettuce on wheat bread, baby carrots, light yogurt
    S-golden delicious apple
    D-pork chop in tuscan sun-dried tomato marinade, red baked potato, mixed veggies
    S-???Probably 2 reduced fat graham crackers with 4 tbsp. cool whip free

    Exercise plan:
    Hopefully another 2 mile walk(as long as it doesn't rain) and 15 minute Ab workout.

    And on another exciting note: Kadence is 8 months old today!!! CRAZY!!!! And she's crawling ALL over the place these days and pulling herself up on EVERYthing! I cannot believe how much she's learned in just the past couple weeks!! Wish I could slow down time! Before we know it, we'll be celebrating her first birthday! Aaaahhhh!

    Kristing - Nice job on your work out yesterday that is great, I always love the faces little ones make when trying something new.

    Well today was a lazy morning so far, me and dd both slept in... I think it is the weather it is cold, rainy and windy YUCK. So no story time today hopefully on Saturday.

    I think we will be spending most the day inside, hope to make it to the gym tonight but either way will get in my WATP 2 mile dvd during dd's nap time.

    Now just to figure out what we are eating today.

    Hello ladies! Just stopping by to see how you are all doing! Great job!!!!!

    I am plugging along. I have gained a total of 10 pounds in the last 2 mths. I am convinced it is health related and working on that. The squeeky week gets the oil so I have convinced my doc that we need to explore some possible issues. So, I am having a pelvic ultrasound on the 17th. On one hand I hope they find nothing wrong because I dont think my baby growing days are over, on the other hand....to have an answer to my agony would be WONDERFUL!

    I hope to join you all in the next challenge and see #s like 6.5 pounds lost (yay K!!!!!)

    Hey sixers, Sorry I have been gone. I am medicated up right now, and not doing the best. I got my wisdom teeth removed on tuesday. I will try to weigh in tomorrow. I can't wait to get over this so I can really push myself to work out the last full week in MI.

    <3 all of you. And I would right more but I am tired, and full of pain killers.

    I put my goal weight back to what I started with. If I can reach somewhere close to that, I will be happy with this challenge. My four-month belly now is down to three-month. Why is this a big deal? Because after two kids, I was actually able to have a fairly flat stomach (I gained all my weight in my hips, thighs, butt). Now I'm a little rounder on the bottom and have difficult buttoning my pants, which makes me feel gross.

    Amy - I'd love to hear more specifics about your friend with similar problems and what type of tests she is doing. All of this is throwing me for a loop.

    PDX - I totally understand your pursuit for answers. I hope your ultrasound goes well. My husband says Eve did a doozy on us by eating that stupid piece of fruit. Hopefully you can find some answer that help you reach your goals.

    B - Sorry about the pain and meds. You are the third person in two months that I know of to have their wisdom teeth out. Big hugs. Feel better very soon.

    Kelly - Awesome job on weight loss. Those two more pounds are history. Great job!!!

    Kristin - Day 5 of no smoking? I might have lost count. Either way, keep it up. You are a healthy mommy.
