    3 miles today for me!

What do you think if we walk southwards a bit more, and then west? I'd like to visit the Grand Canyon :-)

:drinker: The Grand Canyon is a Great Idea. If we go to the West Rim we can Walk on the Glass Bridge "Sky Walk".

Grand Canyon is a great idea though it will take us a while as it 2199 miles. We'll have to tick off the states as we walk through them

We could have some goals in betwenn, so that there are some achievements to keep us motivated, and just go in the direction of the Grand Canyon for now?

For example, Washington, Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma City, Albuquerque.
Or we could take a more southern route.

I like the idea of "Sight Seeing" through the States. That could be a Lot of Fun. I like the Oklahoma City route of course but would a different route go close to some of you?

Not me cos I'm done under in Australia, but if one of you wants to nominate a city on the way, I can calculate the miles using google maps and we can just walk to each in turn so it doesn't feel like we are walking for no reward.

sounds like fun. I live near Nashville, TN. My husband and I hike during spring and fall break in the Smoky Mountains. Right now I need to walk or workout to get ready for the longer hikes, so I'd like to join the challenge if it is still open.

Lora and Chris, you are welcome to join us. Chris, that scenery looks fabulous. I'm not into climbing and there is nothing near me that you would call a hill let alone a mountain. But there are some fabulous walking tracks including the Bibbulmun Track which stretches over 1000km.
