The Myth is that wearing a brazier will keep em perky. The opposite is true. Women who have NEVER worn a bra develop micro muscles, and stringer connective tissues that hold the gals aloft. They do not sag from age or lack of a bra, they sag from never having to develop natural loft, or fitness. It's an interesting topic, because the body is so much more amazing than we give it credit in our rush to modify and help everything. The older I get and the more I experience the more I become convinced everything is better as God/Nature intended. As has been mentioned well developed chest muscles help the issue.
Now as for my vote: No Bra (And not because I am hoping for a cheap thrill) I vote no because bras are linked to breast cancer due to their affect on both lymph fluid and blood circulation. The human body has more lymph fluid than blood, and the job it does is to remove toxins. Your blood provides nutrients, oxygen and removes toxins. Impeding circulation causes negative health effects and bras impair circulation.
Bras were invented as alternatives to corsets whose sole purpose was to force a high and accentuated cleavage. They are not health items, in fact stopping wearing a bra has been shown in multiple studies to enhance and lift breasts.

There are also women whose breasts are very large and who may need one for work or social outings. But this class of breast is the hardest to fit properly with a good bra and is the highest risk group for the negative health effects of braziers.

I've gone down from a 36FF to a 30DD but they just won't get any smaller! I only have about 7 lbs left to safely lose but I doubt I'll every be to the point where I can go without a bra0 -

I'm 11 pounds from goal weight (down over 70) but I haven't been working out. We'll see what happens to the girls once I add exercise I might be right there with you girl, lol!0 -
I have itty bitty titties so I dont wear a bra unless I am leaving the house. The only reason I am wearing one right now is because I am in a sports bra. I am dressed for my run...that I am taking much later. I do that so I know that I NEED TO RUN.

Breasts have connective tissues, ligaments, and underlying muscles which all gain health, strength and firmness when asked to do what they were designed to do, like any other body part. Do we really believe the human body NEEDS anything wraps tightly around it to make it stronger?

If I ever wore a bra, knowing what I know now, would free me immediately. Reading these studies and others over the years, has convinced me the best way to enhance breast health and fitness is forgo the brazier whenever possible and build chest strength. It's very encouraging that the one woman, "with uncomfortably large breasts, in the above mentioned study spent two years not wearing a bra and had improvement in her comfort level!
What's natural is generally light years ahead of what's artificial.

Regarding pictorial proof: I just did a yahoo image search for "native topless" and examined hundreds of images of topless natives, from papa new guinea to africa and the pacifc islands, and applied a little critical thinking. About 95% are completely perky with no sag. Those that I found that sagged were on very old women, very over weight women, or smoking women, sometimes more than one.
The general appearance of the native (never wore a bra) breasts, were that the nipple always faced forward and sometimes a little upward, the shape had the appearance of firmness and gravity defiance. Their was a natural roundness to the majority of the samples, and very rarely did any portion of the lower breast come into contact with the woman's torso.
And since the internet is notoriously poor at parsing images with complete reliability, you also get a smattering of gratuitous prurient images(i.e. western women modeling for porn or what have you) and it's clear that the western bra wearing women have saggier breasts. Even the western bra wearing women's B cups sagged more frequently than the native women's C cups. The pictures really do tell the tale.
If you do the same search under videos, beware, it's almost all porn. The few videos of actual bra-less natives however were very telling, in that even while dancing their breasts exhibited a perky firmness and staying power that defies logic. And less you think it's a purely genetic reality, the one video documentary of a naturist/nudist colony where the women are not only sans the bra but sans the top 24x7 the same perky perfection abounded.
Now obviously if examining this material would be offensive to you, or your code of ethics, or if you have a porn addiction I suggest steering well clear. However, if you are a female wanting real evidence that breasts that are never supported by braziers have superior loft and perkiness by all means the proof is clear and only a few clicks and key strokes away.

After looking at over two hundred images it became very clear that the bra-less breast has a look of health, firmness and strength to it, while the brazier bound breasts are a saggy flabby bunch. I wish I could do that. Even with my (somewhat small) 36 Cs I wear a bra ALWAYS, I have to or I feel really awkward. I need to practice not wearing one. I Used to have quite a bit of boobage... 42 Fs. When I lost my weight, there they went. I have also had 5 babies who I nursed. SO, my poor boobies need a make over. They are horrible, but they aren't spectacular either.
True story, before I lost my weight when I was around 20ish, I never looked in the mirror naked, ever. Really, I had no idea that my nipples never pointed to the ground and my boobs were actually quite nice then. once I started looking in the mirror I felt like an idiot, always looking down from the top I thought they always pointed down. :laugh:0 -
