    It's cardio. Strength training involves "progressively" using higher resistance.

    So if I get fatter and the pushups have more resistance I can count it at strength? :)
    Absolutely. When some think that they are getting stronger (IE able to do more pushups) part of that "strength" can be attributed to losing weight up top and now being able to do more reps because of less body weight.
