Be accountable to yourself0

get rid of soda, even diet. Log everything. I learned that when I am out of control ( so I think) I tend to give up with the attitude of " i cant do this" " i will start over another day" but when I log everything I learned that its not hopeless and I can make up for damage done and save the day.
I love this. I gave up diet soda about 8 months ago and I feel amazing. I really didn't think about it until I saw this written down. LOVE!0 -
My favorite quote: " a year from now, you'll wish you had started today."0

Log everything. Eve. Rey. Thing.
^^^^THIS! I found that even when I have "a day of shame" and not so great choices...logging everything keeps me accountable to myself!0 -

try the 5:2 fast days (2 non-consecutive where you eat 500 cals each of those 2 days and eat normally the other 5 days). You will steadily lose 1 lb per week. I have been doing this for 9 weeks and have lost 9 lbs. It is not difficult either. Good luck.0

Portion control--everything in moderation.
Truthfully record your eating and exercise
When you go out to eat, bring the leftovers home
You don't have to eat like every meal is your last. You will eat again.
If you are going to splurge, make sure it's something worth it, like your favorite food you get only once a year, or your grandmother's chocolate cake.0 -

So true.....never thought of it like that.0 -
Honestly??? Don't eat below your BMR, don't eat above your TDEE and exercise your buns off!0

Get at least a quarter of your daily protein at breakfast.0

There's no such thing as motivation, only determination. Determine what you will do, then do it!
Every choice is an opportunity to make a good choice, if you eat a biscuit that is not 'failure' and therefore you should go on a binge. Put the packet away, have a glass of water, and make the next choice a good one0 -
Wow!!! I love this!0

You don't need a gym, or props, or handholding/supportive friends, though it helps. You need one thing only to be a success at this....the will to DO IT.0

You are only human. You only fail when you stop getting back up.0

My advice: Chill the f* out!
People get so uptight and upset if they don't lose the exact amount of weight they wanted when and where they want it. They want to be uber precise about how many calories they are really eating or stressing that MFP or the treadmill or their HRM or whatever isn't accurately calculate their own personal calorie burn. They freak if they don't see instantaneous changes in their body within a week of making some change.
Just take a deep breathe and calm down. Did you give your plan a month at least? If you didn't see a change on the scale, did you see it in how your clothes fit, a loss of inches, an improvement in your strength and endurance? Are you keeping track of what you eat, making healthier choices and eating at a more realistic calorie level?
This is not a sprint. This is not a marathon. This is a cross country trip on foot and it's going to take a while so why add all the unnecessary stress? You'll get there. Just be patient and chill!0 -
Never believe you cannot do something, your body is willing to do so much more than your mind is
I love that Post ^^ I would just have to say know that you can do anything! yes its hard yes it is a Journy but you can do it
This is not really serendipidy because I came looking for help - but it feels like it. I sat down in tears (just a bit) because I have just been pathetic and it's hard to acknowledge to yourself when that happens, I have reached that point of stupid self destruction after a period of good weight loss. So thankyou for posting this. I CAN, therefore I will. xx0 -
If you say "OMG I want to look like that" get off your computer and go run or lift something heavy0
