Some people can really taste the bad part of stevia. It's unfortunate for them.

The only way I can tolerate a Quest Bar is by microwaving it for about 10 seconds and eating it immediately. The macros look nice on them, but they definitely aren't good. Some are less horrible than others. You can always order a variety pack from their website.

Stevia is awful, I can not bare the taste. You are absolutely right!1
I have a hard time with stevia, too. It may be "natural" but it tastes very artificial to me... I would prefer to have something unsweetened over something sweetened with stevia. I recently got a free sample of nectresse from the makers of Splenda. Its made with monk fruit and real sugar and no calories. It isn't bad, but as with most sugar substitutes, it may take some getting used to.

Quest bars are so freaking disgusting and chewy. I for the most part hate any type of bars. I enjoy good food, Yippey to me as I am such a food addict!!. Why not just eat peanut butter with bananas?

I don't think you understand the purpose of a protein bar...

I have tried every flavor, all are ok, some are amazing. I really like the strawberry cheesecake, chocolate peanut butter, banana nut muffin, and chocolate chip cookie dough. It's been a while since I've tried other flavors, so I ordered cinnamon roll and a couple others.

Here's the thing... they seem to be the most balanced bar as far as nutrition goes (high protein, low net carbs, low sugar). For me, things usually taste better if I know they're good for me. Would I prefer them over snickers if they had the same nutritional content? No. Are they pretty dang tasty and better for me than candy bars? Yes.

They taste like poison to me. Like.. really disgusting.

I think that is the first negative thing I've heard said about quest bars. Never tried them myself, but I was considering buying some.

    They're sweetened with Stevia.

I just don't understand how people can consume Stevia. I tried it once on purpose in coffee and literally gagged. I bought a case of Quest bars, choked two down, and gave the rest away. I accidentally purchased a protein powder flavored with Stevia and thought it had gone bad.

Maybe I'm just weird. It literally tastes like poison.

Stevia tastes like aspartame to me. YECCHY. TOOO SWEET. I also tried it in coffee and couldn't finish my coffee which is NOT cool. Stevia totally screwed my entire day.

Good to know that I'll not be liking Quest bars. I eat Cliff builder bars and I love them except I have to eat them instead of a meal - they're too dense to eat as a snack.

    Yes, you're doing it wrong.

I like them. They aren't the best ever, but they are good enough for what I want them for. I like Cliff bars and put them pretty close and they have better macros for me. Microwaving them makes them a lot better. I like the chocolate/chocolate peanut butter or strawberry cheesecake the best.
The best protein bars I have had are Darryl's Hi NRGy bars. They are all natural, taste amazing and have a lot of protein. They are unfortuately a small Canadian company.

I like the chocolate brownie and the cookie-dough flavors. The only two i've tried so far.

Usually microwave for about 10-15 seconds and eat them.

I'm loving me some Clif bars at the moment but I'm not impressed with the macros or the satiety factor. Since i can't just pop over to the store and try a Quest bar I figured I would ask if they are any good.... So... Are they?
They're great, but when I'm reaching for a candy bar, I'll go with one of their competition like a Watchamacallit.

I like the quest bars...but they are really only chewable if you can microwave them for a few seconds. Otherwise it's like chewing on boot leather. I love the Think Think Divine bars as a snack.

Straight stevia is gross. However, I really like Truvia, which is a blend of Stevia and something else I can never remember. If I can't have my splenda, I will take all the Truvia I can get.
