    This reminds me of a time when I worked in an SICU. There was a lady who had just had an operation on an aneurysm, and she was being admitted to the unit. I was her nurse, and she woke up as I was hooking her up to our monitors, and I was leaning over her face to reach a cable. She opened her eyes, sighed, and reached up with a hand and began to pet my beard, and said, "Oh. There you are. Can I keep you?"
