Nay. If you're going through the effort take the clippers evenly all around.

I LOVE long hair ( shoulder length or better) on men. Military style is a major, major turn off.

Take the clippers to the whole thing. Near bald is awesome.

Only if you're in the military - unless you're talking about a proper fade, then by all means.

Depends on your head shape. Some people look terrible with high and tights....others look great.

If you're in the military, go for it.

Otherwise, be prepared to tell a lot of people why you have a high n' tight yet aren't a marine.

Been getting the same military haircut for the past 29 years. 24 of those years was in the military. I retired in 2008 and don't know any other way to have it cut. So it stays. Seems in the business world most folks my age (47) are getting the military type cut, just not as high and tight as I get it.

Same here. Just retired this year and I still get the military cut. It's a habit and I hate when my hair gets too long. And my wife is a barber so she just cuts my hair at home.

A high and tight was okay while I was in the Army, but I've never cut it that way since getting out. I prefer a close cut, with the same length all around.

Is there a particular reason you are considering a military style cut?

If you reckon you'll like it, then get it. Good thing about hair styles like that is that they grow out very quickly if you decide you're not into it.

It doesn't matter how you wear your hair. It's what's inside your head that matters.

Yes. I much prefer a man with low shave especially running my hand over his head.

I just like the way it looks honestly, always have. I haven't ever been in the military, but I picked it up when I was in Army JROTC a while ago back in High School. Just always liked crew cuts and the high-tight look.

This is why I prefer to keep my private areas nice and buzzed. Should I say low and tight?

    As you were, carry on.

since you asked....then i have to go with the above ^. i'm not a fan unless one is actually in the military. i'm sure you'd look fine with it, and it doesn't really matter what any of us think...but that's just my $.02.
