    If you reckon you'll like it, then get it. Good thing about hair styles like that is that they grow out very quickly if you decide you're not into it.

    I just like the way it looks honestly, always have. I haven't ever been in the military, but I picked it up when I was in Army JROTC a while ago back in High School. Just always liked crew cuts and the high-tight look.

    since you asked....then i have to go with the above ^. i'm not a fan unless one is actually in the military. i'm sure you'd look fine with it, and it doesn't really matter what any of us think...but that's just my $.02.

    If you're going to get a true high and tight, don't leave it incredibly long on the top or it will look like a mini-mullet.

    I go for skin on the sides, high fade, with a 4 or 5 on the top... similar to a high and tight, but looks better IMO. Fits perfectly well into the uniform regs... not that you're concerned with those.

    ETA: A phrase I learned while getting a haircut out to sea.... the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut is two weeks.
