Sometimes, when hubby goes to the grocery store, he picks up one of those inexpensive bouquets of flowers along with the groceries and gives them to me with a kiss.0

I hate to call out people on my friends list...
But one of my guy friends knows I am really into shoes. And he contacted me for info on which Christian Louboutin's to get his significant other. We figured out how to get her size/what style should would like. And he totally surprised her with a pair. He put a lot of thought and effort into it. Unfortunately he doesn't have any brothers :sad:0 -

Get to know me and things that are special to me. My hubby finally decided to learn martial arts so that we can spend more time together and bought some sparring equipment so he can spar with me. And he's always looking for good martial arts movies to watch with me. I think that's romantic!
He also picks fresh flowers while on his walks/runs and leaves them beside my laptop or on my dresser.0 -

i've always wanted one of those. Store bought ones are soo mainstream0 -
A guy I dated for a long time made 12 little cards cut out of red construction paper to look like roses and glued them into a white paper cone so that they would look like a bouquet. Inside of each of those cards, he wrote a reason why he loved me. I kept that for years. My husband (years later, not the same guy) likes to randomly surprise me with little things that make it clear he's been listening to me, sometimes better than I've been listening to myself. I think the most romantic part of any gesture that we do for each other is the extent to which my husband and I make a point to really make the other one feel appreciated and loved.0

Respect the fact that I am trying to loose weight and not make me five egg omelets and four pieces of toast for breakfast like he doesn't want me to succeed.0

For men, anything to do with sex is considered romantic0

AMEN!!!!
But if I had a spouse that didn't totally suck- I would say the most romantic thing they could do is plan a day spent being lazy together, all snuggled up in bed. I'm relatively easy to please
I third, or 4th? this. and in doing so, LET ME SLEEP!0 -

Well if that isn't already customary in the relationship (both ways), I'd be ditching it.0 -
an entire weekend full of sex, food, sleep & more sex
Need a "like" button. I guarantee this response was formulated by my hubby!0 -
Zip her lips. I enjoy the sound of silence. I'm not much of a talker.0

It's a very person specific thing.... For some people it's a massage, for some it's doing the chores so they don't have to, for some it will be watching the kids so that they can go have me time....
You should talk to your spouse to find out what its their particular thing.0 -

No, no, it's customary, but when you're married for a long time you have to make it seem more special by saying it's a romantic gesture. That way then there is less you have to do as customary romance cuz what is considered romantic by many is actually pretty stupid.
You have to SELL it to your spouse as pure romance.0 -
Lmao now that is funny. I dont believe in Romance. Give me a full day at the gym and an unlimited suppky of protein bars and shakes and go watch your football.0

Perfect romantic day: coffee on the back porch then hitting some trials for hiking followed by some fishing in the early afternoon and a baseball game at night. Yup, that'll do it!0

DON'T make you guess what they want, OR make you wonder what you've done wrong this time. Dammit, men aren't mind readers. The "you should know what I want", or "you should know what you've done wrong" attitude is ridiculous!!!0
