I drain the fat free grocery store plain yogurt until you could definitely stand a spoon in it -- or perhaps spackle cracks in the wall. Even though it's fat free, after its drained for 24-48 hours you wouldn't know it. I think its closer to labneh than Greek yogurt -- definitely creamy, cheap and yummy.
If you want EXCEPTIONALLY creamy -- go for the Cabot full fat Greek yogurt. I love it but it does have thickeners in it.
Here's my "recipe" with pictures for how to drain the cheap yogurt to get the expensive stuff.

I live in a small town and we do not get the vareity I have seen in this thread. I do love oikos key lime tho. Tastes like pie...0

I like plain, thick and creamy; Voskos and Fage 2%. I dislike watery yogurts and yogurts with artificial sweeteners as it leaves a nasty aftertaste for me. However I do have a soft spot for whipped yogurt varieties which are very rare treats for me.0
